  • Blichmann AutoSparge Blichmann AutoSparge

    Blichmann Stainless AutoSparge

    21 reviews

Have you longed for a sparging system with a "set-it-and-forget-it" design? The elegantly simple construction of Blichmann Engineering's AutoSparge™ automatically sets the hot liquor flow rate and liquid level in your mash tun. As you change the sparge rate into your boil kettle, the AutoSparge™ automatically responds by increasing or decreasing hot liquor flow to compensate and keeps a constant level in your mash tun.   Newly redesigned - 100% stainless steel, improved o-ring mounting and 1/2" NPT thread.   The AutoSparge™ level and flow control system is an awesome accessory for RIMS systems, and it also works great with gravity systems or with pumps! Wort gently rotates on top of the grain bed to reduce channeling and oxygen pick-up, and to increase extraction efficiency. With a constant hot liquor level over your grain bed, complicated rotating sparge arms are unnecessary!   ·         Stainless steel float ball, float arm, and valve body!   ·         Includes 18" silicone hose and stainless steel hose float ball.   ·         Fits any kettle larger than 12" in diameter, including converted kegs.   ·         Comes equipped with 6" float arm.  9" and 12" float arms available separately for increasing range              of motion. Min pot diameter for longer float arms is 15" and 18" respectively.

  • Blichmann HopBlocker Blichmann HopBlocker

    Blichmann Hop Blocker

    12 reviews

Traditional screen filters draw from the bottom of the kettle — immediately sucking all pellet hops and fine break material into the screen, where they plug. In Blichmann Engineering's HopBlocker™, preferential flow leaves settled fine break material (hops and trub) undisturbed at the bottom of the kettle while draining the majority of the wort through a coarse filter from the top down. When the wort level is just a couple of inches from the bottom of the kettle, the fine filter element is then exposed by lifting the shield, and the remainder of the wort is filtered. It's an intuitive design that allows the fine filter to work only on a small portion of the wort, not all of it. The HopBlocker™ will filter up to 95% of the break material and hops from your wort without plugging. While it is designed specifically to complement Blichmann Engineering's BoilerMaker™ brew kettles, the HopBlocker™can be installed in any manufacturer's kettle or keg.   PLEASE NOTE: The HopBlocker is designed for use with pellet hops only. Whole/loose hops will plug the unit. While using whole hops, or a mix of whole and pellet hops, you must bag your whole hops in a large muslin grain bag. This will not affect the utilization rate and will result in significantly less wort loss.

  • Sale -20% Kit (Extract) - Honey Ale - Gluten Free Kit (Extract) - Honey Ale - Gluten Free

Honey Ale | Gluten Free | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | Sorghum Extract

    10 reviews

Lightly colored ale with some sweetness from the honey Our Gluten Free recipes use Sorghum extract for the base fermentables Includes Kent Goldings and Northern Brewer hops Estimated ABV: 5.6% Estimated IBUs: 15-18 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer This ale recipe features the use of clover honey, dried rice extract and sorghum. Try adding some dark candi syrup to give it some color. Gluten-Free beers are a different world when it comes to finding a suitable replacement for the base extract. Celiacs are allergic to the hordein protein found in the base malts such as 2-Row and Pilsner malt.  They are also allergic to the gliadin protein found in wheat which is the biggest offender of the two proteins. As a homebrewer your goal is to find a suitable fermentable that can emulate the maltiness in beer. Our Gluten Free recipes use Sorghum extract for the base fermentables. Hops aggressively cut through the maltiness from sorghum easily. Hop additions in gluten free beers tend to be 40-50% less than normal.  All our gluten-free kits include dry yeast due to the small traces of the gliadin protein found in liquid yeast. (Although lab research has found the yeast metabolize the gliadin protein after fermentation and significantly reduce the ppm present.) Makes 5 gallons Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 5.5-6% Estimated Original Gravity:1.055-60 SRM (Color Range): 4-6 IBU's: 15-18

  • Pre-Chiller 25' x 1/2" Wort Chiller with Brass Fittings

    5 reviews

If you live in a hot environment where the tap water never really gets cold, it may be helpful to pre-chill your water before you even begin chilling your wort. This Pre-Chiller is designed to help you do just that, bringing your tap water down to below the final target temperature for your wort. It uses an impressively simple process to do it, but you’ll find that this is an affordable and essential part of your brewing setup. The Pre-Chiller is made up of 25 feet of copper tubing that is placed in a bucket of ice water. The in-flow is connected to the source of your tap water, while the other side is connected to your wort chiller. Once it’s all connected, you can quickly and efficiently cool your water before it even enters the wort chiller. The Pre-Chiller is equipped with brass hose fittings that can be attached to any standard garden hose. It is designed to use with our 6 gallon buckets.  Specifications: 25 feet of 1/2 inch copper tubing. Female Garden hose inlet, Male Garden hose outlet. Approx. 10" diameter, 7" to the top coil, 24" to the bend to go over the lip of the bucket.

  • Wort Chiller - Superchiller for 10 Gallon Batches (50ft of 1/2 in. With Brass Fittings)

    Immersion Wort Chiller (50' x 1/2" w/ Brass Fittings)

    11 reviews

You can tell that an immersion chiller is truly meant to last by looking at its weight and craftsmanship, and you won’t find one heavier or higher quality than this Immersion Chiller. This is a take on our wildly popular immersion chillers, but it contains brass fittings for even more durability and a larger size for 10 gallon batches. If you want to cut your chilling time down, this is the immersion chiller to choose. Our immersion chiller is made of 50 feet of ½ inch copper tubing, which is some of the highest quality tubing that you can use in your brewing process. It features brass fittings for garden hoses on either end, giving you easy access to your water supply, as well as a bend at the top to fit over the lip of the kettle. If you’re looking for a truly premium chiller to use with a 10 gallon batch in a converted keg or a kettle, this is the one for you.  The measurements are: Approx. 10" diameter, 13" to the top coil, 24" to the bend to go over the lip of the kettle.

  • Water Efficient Wort Chiller- 25 ft x 3/8 in With Tubing

Super Efficient Immersion Wort Chiller | 25 Feet of 3/8" Copper | Elevated Coil With Integrated Turbulator Cools Faster | Uses 40% Less Water

    15 reviews

25 Feet of 3/8" Copper Coils Raised Up To Where The Heat Is Integrated Turbulator Cools Faster and Uses 40% Less Water 25 Feet of 3/8" Copper Includes Tubing and Standard Garden House / Utility Sink Thread Manufactured in the USA Save water during the cooling process with our Super Efficient Immersion Wort Chiller. During the manufacturing process we build in an inner water turbulator that causes the cold water to spin through the coil. This reduces the laminar flow found in a standard wort chiller where only the outer water is cooled as it travels through the coil. The result is a 40% reduction in water, and faster cooling, when compared with our standard chillers.  But that is when we compare it to OUR standard chillers with the coils at the top. When you compare to other chillers on the market the results are even better. ALL of our chillers feature coils that raised up to where the heat is.  As we learned in school heat rises so when other wort chillers have all the coils on the bottom they actually never cool unless you stir your wort. The problem with stirring is that you mix up all your trub/sediment and you risk airborne contamination... neither of which is good. Our chillers cool fast and allow you to keep your lid on your kettle during the critical cooling period.  Constructed from 25' of 3/8'' copper tubing. 8' of vinyl tubing attached to both the in and the out with a female garden hose fitting on the in side. Use our CE21S hose thread adaptor to attach to your sink. Perfect for a kitchen environment where the sink is close by. This size chiller is ideal for our 8 Gallon Heavy Duty Kettles! The measurements are: Approx. 10" diameter, 8" to the top coil, 15" to the bend to go over the lip of the kettle.

  • Sale -25% Kit (Extract) - Russian River's Pliny the Elder Double IPA - PLACEHOLDER Kit (Extract) - Russian River's Pliny the Elder Double IPA - PLACEHOLDER

Russian River Brewing Company Pliny the Elder® Double IPA | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | Extract

This BrewMaster Series kit was scaled down to a homebrew batch size in collaboration with the brewmasters at Russian River Brewing Company THE original Pliny the Elder recipe, given to us directly by Vinnie at Russian River Brewing Company High bitterness and intense hop flavor with a dry malt finish Includes whole Cascade, Magnum, Simcoe®, Columbus, and Centennial hops Estimated ABV: 8% Estimated IBUs: 100+ Makes 5 gallons of finished beer Pliny the Elder is a truly amazing beer with a cult like following, and was once one of the hardest IPAs to find, as Russian River brewed it in very limited quantities. Depending on where you live, it may still be next to impossible to track down! But with this killer clone kit you can make your own Pliny and perhaps you will develop your own cult following where you are worshiped by your beer loving friends. (Hey, it could happen!). Light malt color, huge hops, and a dry finish. Be prepared for an outrageous amount of flavor. This is THE original Pliny the Elder recipe, given to us directly by Vinnie at Russian River Brewing Company. This beer is an intense Double IPA. High bitterness with a dry malt finish, 8% alcohol, 6 separate hot side hop additions, 3 separate dry hop additions, and intense hop flavor and aroma! Pliny sets the standard for Double IPAs! Who is Pliny the Elder? This beer is named after Gainus Plinius Secondus, or Pliny the Elder, a Roman author, lawyer, naval man and naturalist who first mentions the botanical name for hops in his writings - lupus salictarius, which translated from Latin means Wolf Among Willows. Sadly, Pliny died while helping people escape the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in August, 79 AD. Pliny the Younger was the nephew of Pliny the Elder and is the name of another outrageous and highly sought-after beer from Russian River. Russian River Brewing If you have not tasted beers from Russian River Brewing Company, you should put it way up on your priority list. This is a brewery with huge demand that keeps quality as a first priority. Owner Vinnie Cilurzo is also unique in that he still actively brews and tests recipes and ingredients (on a MoreBeer! Brewsculpture by the way) on a constant basis. Amazing. Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity: 1.070-74 SRM (Color Range): 10 IBUs: 198-202 (this is a theoretical number, you will actually get around 100 IBU) Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 8% Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. To find our yeast recommendations, choose your preferred kit option above and then select the drop-down menu under “Yeast Options”.  For more info, click on the recommended yeast(s) below in the “You Might Also Need” section below. All included steeping grains will come milled.   Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME) MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

  • Sale -25% Kit (All-Grain) - Russian River's Blind Pig IPA - PLACEHOLDER Kit (All-Grain) - Russian River's Blind Pig IPA - PLACEHOLDER

Russian River Brewing Company Blind Pig® IPA | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

This BrewMaster Series kit was scaled down to a homebrew batch size in collaboration with the brewmasters at Russian River Brewing Company This is the original homebrew recipe that was the basis for Russian River Brewing Company's famous Blind Pig IPA Won Silver Medals at the World Cup of Beer and the Great American Beer Festival in 1996 Includes Magnum, Cascade, and Willamette hops Estimated ABV: 6.5% Estimated IBUs: 60 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer The original Double IPA! Vinnie Cilurzo began homebrewing in 1989 while in college. In 1994 Vinnie started the Blind Pig Brewing Company in Temecula, CA, a small, low-budget micro-brewery known for their extremely hoppy IPA—an IPA which won silver medals at both the Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup. Vinnie sold his share in Blind Pig and was hired to manage and brew at the Russian River Brewing Company, a start-up brewery by Korbel Champagne in Guerneville, CA. In late 2002 Korbel decided to get out of the beer business and sold the Russian River name and brand to Vinnie who moved the brewery to Santa Rosa, CA, 90 miles North of San Francisco, where he and his wife Natalie opened a brew-pub which serves delicious bites and, of course, all of the Russian River Ales. Vinnie has won 10 awards at the Great American Beer Festival in just six years and was named Small Brewing Company Brewmaster of the Year in 1999. Russian River's smashing success continues to this day, expanding and opening a second brewery in Windsor, CA. Almost every beer that Vinnie makes commercially started out as a homebrew recipe at one point or another. Even as a professional brewer, Vinnie still homebrews at least 5 or 6 times a year. This is the original homebrew recipe that was the basis for Blind Pig IPA which won Silver Medals at the World Cup of Beer and the Great American Beer Festival in 1996, the last year Vinnie brewed it. Two dry hop additions along with 1 oz of American Oak are added directly to the fermenter after the first week of fermentation. To say it is a very unique, extremely flavorful IPA is an understatement. Vinnie recommends using White Labs California yeast, WLP001. • Sale -25% Kit (All-Grain) - American Pale Ale II - PLACEHOLDER Kit (All-Grain) - American Pale Ale II - PLACEHOLDER

American Pale Ale II | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain

Our OG American Pale Ale recipe with the malt and hop character kicked up a notch Includes Magnum, Cascade and Willamette hops Estimated ABV: 5.3% Estimated IBUs: 57 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer Looking for the perfect Pale Ale to share with friends this summer? Do you like a Pale Ale with a rich malt flavor and a ton of hop character but without an overwhelming bitterness? Then the Pale Ale II should be your next brew. We took our American Pale recipe and upped the malt, threw a ton of hops in the finish for flavor, but kept the bitterness the same. We think toning down the perceived bitterness is one reason we consistently get great reviews from brewers sharing this with friends. Keeping it real: Part of the success of this kit is blending a lot of Willamette and Cascade hops in the finish. This isn't a wild, new or crazy idea... this is old school. Cascade and Willamette were the hops that helped put craft brewing on the map in the 1980's. The reason they are still so popular... they make a damn good beer. We like damn good beer. And yes we like to wear our Sperry Topsiders and listen to Van Halen when we drink this (note if you were born in the 80's ignore this comment). Truly delectable and different yet still keeping it real. Torpedo™ Mini CO2 Regulator Kit - Ball Lock Quick Disconnect (QD)

    18 reviews

The mini-reg features total portability with all the features of a full size regulator. The regulator has a range of .5-1.5 bars which equates to 7-21 p.s.i.. This means that unlike KEG950 that shoots in CO2 at an un-calculable amount, the mini-reg allows you precisely dial in pressure and keep it there. It utilizes its own disposable 74 gram CO2 cartridge, which is the largest size that can be shipped full. This is also a two stage mini-regulator, meaning that is takes the pressure down from 800psi to a lower pressure and then to your set pressure of around 10psi. Two stage regulators are the only way to have consistent pressure.  One 74 gram cartridge will dispense one 5 gallon keg. Comes with regulator, one gas in quick disconnect and the associated hardware. 74 gram CO2 cartridges (KEG962) are available separately. KEG969 cartridges are not compatible with this regulator.
