CoolBot Walk-In Cooler Controller | DIY Indoor Cooler | Fermentation Locker | Keg Storage | Wine Cellar
A CoolBot allows a standard air conditioner to cool a room or space down to 35 degrees F. Installs with no tools or electrical knowledge required. Standard A/C units available from any hardware or appliance store have lots of power but they are electronically limited so that they cannot go below 60 degrees F. This is because they would freeze up. Commercial refrigeration for walk in coolers combat freeze with increased surface area on the fins as well as fans. Instead the Cool bot technology uses multiple sensors, a heating element and programmed micro-controller to control your air conditioner in such a way that the unit can go below 60F and not freeze up. The Coolbot cannot give you 100% of the btus listed on your air conditioner nor is suitable for large brewery or winery walk ins. It is perfect for wine cellars, beer storage, fermentation, etc. Easy to install within 30 minutes with no tools or electrical knowleged required. While we can't tell you exactly what size space you can cool because of ambient temperatures and insulation factors, we recommend you google Coolbot. They have sold over 50,000 of these so there are lots of reviews and actual installs out there. We offer free shipping on this unit, ship fast from both coasts, and have great customer service. This type of system is also very efficient. Most commercial systems are power hogs with large fans that are always running. Residential A/C units are made for efficiency. The Coolbot will also shut down the compressor for short time when the unit is running at its highest level of inneficiency, as it nears freeze up. Dims of the CoolBot are 6.5x3.5x1.5 in. High Quality Made in USA Thermometer - 2 in. x 12 in.
Are all bi-metal thermometers created equal? Not really. The problem with most bi-metal thermometers is that hang ups occur and you have to tap the thermometer to get an accurate reading. The cause of the problem is that the bimetallic helical coil in the stem of other bi-metal thermometers is tack welded to the stem itself. Our new line of thermometers feature a super sensitive bimetallic helical coil suspended from a copper coated bushing fixed in the stem. This superior design provides a faster response to temperature changes and assures more accurate readings. What does this mean? You don't have to tap the gauge with your finger as much. They are also accurate to 1% of the total range, feature a polished 2" 304 s/s housing, a hermetically sealed water proof case, and glass face. The range is 0-220 °F and -10-100 °C. The 12" stem is 1/8" stainless steel. This is a very different thermometer than some of the other low quality 2" x 12" thermometers that are currently on the market. This dial thermometer should be calibrated at 150 °F.

The Temperature Tamer
The Temperature Tamer hangs from the side of a bin or tank and has a built-in temperature controller that monitors the temperature and controls a solenoid valve, allowing coolant or heated water to enter a snake, plate or jacket to maintain your ideal temperature. Theoretically you could be maintaining the temperature of a red wine ferment at 77F in one tank while you cold stabilized a white wine at 30F in the next. The built-in Ranco controller allows for heating or cooling, has a temperature range of -30 to 220F, and will maintain the temperature in a ferment or tank within one degree of your set point. The controller opens and closes the built in electronic solenoid valve to start or stop the flow of coolant. The included thermal sensor can be placed into a thermowell mounted onto a tank or a floating thermowell used with a Macrobin. The unit comes equipped with 1/2" barb outlets for the glycol system, however you can remove those and attach anything you'd like to the 1/2" FPT behind them. We generally like to use Quick Disconnects in these systems, please contact us if you need assistance setting this up properly. An example set-up for cooling macro bins: Using one of our glycol systems run an outgoing and incoming loop of 1/2" line that is always recirculating cold glycol. Wherever you have a bin that needs cooling, tee your Temperature Tamer input into the line coming from your chiller, connect a hose from the Tamer's outlet to the inlet side of your cooling plate, and tee a hose from the cooling plate's outlet into the return line going back to the chiller.

The Defrost Kit melts the iced condensate, which accumulates on the airways when the fan is used for room cooling with Glycol-water set below the freezing point. Periodical defrosting enables the use of the thermo-fan for setting up cold-rooms, which are kept at low temperatures. The melted condense water drips to the fan's collection tray for drainage. When using a Defrost Kit, it is required to use the FermFlex-Defrost controller, which controls both the fan-valve for cooling and the heating element for defrosting.

LinkTech High Temp Plastic Female Quick Disconnect (QD) | 3/8" Barb w/ Shutoff Valve
The LinkTech 60PS Series is a lineup of premium plastic Quick Disconnects. These High Quality QDs are made from medical grade polypropylene, a high-strength plastic that is temperature tolerant 160° (Max!), and can handle pressure ranging from a vacuum to 60 psi. All of the 60PS Series will interconnect, and these units will also work seamlessly (and leaklessly!) with CPC Quick Disconnects of the same internal 3/8” flow path. O-rings are a EPDM Rubber, and internal valve springs are constructed from 316 Stainless steel. This is a Female Socket, which can connect to any H501 Series Male Plug. It has a 3/8" Hose Barb on the other end for attaching any 3/8" ID tubing. This QD is equipped with a shutoff valve. When not connected to another QD, this will not allow any flow. While not quite as bulletproof as our Stainless Steel Quick Disconnects, this lineup does offer a few advantages. These can be set up with Shutoffs, which will prevent flow when disconnected, and can be incredibly useful on Pump or Glycol systems. The pricing of these products is more economical, yet the plastic is still medical grade. All in all, these are a premium lineup of quick disconnects with great features and lots of options. Features: LinkTech brand 60PS Series Equipped with Shutoff Valve Connections: Female Socket Quick Disconnect 3/8" Barb Medical Grade Materials: Body: High-Strength Polypropylene Spring: 316 Stainless Steel O-Ring: EPDM Operating Pressure: Vacuum to 60 PSI Temperature Tolerance: -40 to 280°F (-40 to 138°C) 3/8" Flow Path Interchangeable with CPC - Colder HFC35 Series
