Stainless Hex Nipple - 3/8 in. BSP
An excellent upgrade to a standard nipple, these have a hex nut in the center to allow easy tightening and loosening in whatever application it's used! 3/8" male BSP threads. BSP vs. BSPP BSP (or BSPT) fittings have a tapered thread and require teflon tape to form a seal between the male and female fitting. BSP fittings are generally intended to be used with their counterpart of the same thread type. ONLY 1/2" and 3/4" BSP fittings are compatible with US-standard NPT fittings of the same size. These fittings are designed to thread into the inside of a bulkhead fitting, and clamp down on a copper or stainless tube to allow for a hard-plumbed false bottom! Simply thread the fitting into your bulkhead, loosen the nut, and slide your tubing in! Tightening down the nut with tubing inside will clamp the internal locking mechanism onto your metal tube, creating a seal, and insuring a happy mash tun, happy beer, and happier drinkers! 304-Type Stainless Steel compression fitting. 1/2" Male Pipe Thread with a 3/8" compression fitting on the other side.
