Made from BPA free PET, this 5 gallon plastic carboy is a great fermenter for wine that won't affect the taste or smell of your wine. Makes a great secondary fermenter as well because of its negligable oxygen permeability. Cleaning is made easy by its straight smooth sides.
This fermenter comes with a hole 2 inches from the bottom to allow you to install a spigot to make racking much easier. You will also need the spigot installation tool (FE311A) to install the spigot.
When cleaning, do not use a carboy brush as the bristles will scratch platic carboys giving bacteria a place to hide and multiply. A #10 stopper fits well in the mouth of the carboy.
