The BrewBuilt Whirlpool Return Fitting & Thermowell Offset kit allows you to use any tri-clamp kettle's thermometer port to recirculate wort while also taking temp readings. This kit is perfect for kettles that only have two tri-clamp ports—eliminating the need to drill out a hole in your kettle to add a third port for wort recirculation. Attach your preferred valve or tri-clamp fitting to the side inlet and, during whirlpool, draw wort from your bottom port and pump it back through the Whirlpool Return Fitting. This clever device allows you to back fill your tank with an inert gas while cold crashing to avoid the ingress of O2 through the vacuum relief. It is normally used on a tee with a normal PRV/Vacuum Breaker. The NPT port is hooked up to a regulator and set to a low pressure. The exact setting used will depend on the volume of your head space and your regulator. Start at 2 PSI and adjust from there.
