Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME) MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers. Citra® is a registered trademark owned by Hop Breeding Company.

Citric Acid
Used primarily in sanitizing solutions to lower pH, therefore making the SO2 solution more effective. Use 1 tbsp per gallon along with 1 tbsp meta per gallon. Citric is not added directly to must prior to either primary or ml fermentation as its metabolism can lead to volatile acidity. A rough approximate of weight is 1 tsp = 4 grams. We highly recommend using a scale to weigh the product for an accurate dose. We do not recommend relying on these rough conversions for accurate dosage rates. Domestically produced in the USA.

Cleaning and Sanitizing Kit

That's why we put together a basic cleaning and sanitizing kit to set novice wine makers on the path to success. Star San Star San is an acid based sanitizer that is quick, odorless, tasteless and safe for most materials except softer metals. Craft Meister Alkaline Brewery Wash Does your cleaner power through dirt in cold water? Craft Meister Alkaline Brewery Wash does! This versatile and powerful brewery cleaner dissolves quickly and cleans rapidly in cold water in addition to hot water. Ideal for overnight soaking as the solution does not lose effectiveness over time like oxygen based cleaners such as Oxi Clean. Craft Meister Alkaline Brewery Wash will not leave a white chalky film on your equipment like most oxygen based cleaners and rinses away with ease. Plastic Syringe This plastic syringe is perfect for measuring out small amounts of liquid. Star San is so concentrated that the dilution rate is only 1 ounce per 5 gallons of water. Instead of making 2.5 or 5 gallons of sanitizer to fill your spray bottle from, simply add 2 ml of Star San directly to the 8 oz spray bottle, fill with water and you're all set. Spray Bottle A bucket full of sanitizer is great for soaking equipment, but not every job requires that much solution. This 8 oz Sanitizing Spray Bottle is the answer! Great for a quick spray on hands, fermenter valves, sample takers, etc. either before or immediately after use. Use the plastic syringe to add 1/2 tsp (2 ml) of Star San and fill with water. Sanitizer will last up to 1 week before it is ineffective. Kit Includes: Star San - 16 oz (CL26E) Alkaline Brewery Wash - 1 lb (CL41A) Plastic Syringe - 10 ml (MT118) Spray Bottle - 8 oz (CE96)

Clos Dry Wine Yeast
Clos is a yeast strain isolated from the Priorat region of Spain. Clos was chosen for its ability to re-enforce structure while emphasizing aromatic complexity and mouthfeel. Sweet red fruit (cherry), with pepper and chocolate notes are typical of what Clos brings to a fermentation. With hot climate/high Brix fruit, Clos is a great choice for its high alcohol tolerance (17%), low Nitrogen needs and short lag phase. Clos also does well with higher fermentation temperatures (max 95 F) and shows a good compatibility with MLF. Highly recommended for Syrah, Petite Syrah, Grenache, Tempranillo and Carignane. CMBecker In-Line Flow Control Compensator
Add the perfect amount of restriction to any beer line to reduce foam. Eliminates the need for flow control in the faucet itself. Great for use in Jockey Boxes or anywhere you are serving beverages with varying levels of carbonation. If you are currently using a long length of tubing to increase restriction you can now shorten your tubing. A shorter line holds less beer. Beer that is stored in the line tends to warm up quicker, adding to foaming issues, and is more likely to stale from bacteria present in the line. Features: Adjust flow with an included Allen wrench (keeps unauthorized people from adjusting the unit) Eliminate foam from beer or slow down / speed up other beverages Fix systems with issues without having to replace lines or faucets Take the guesswork out of line restriction. You can use shorter lines and still have perfect restriction. You can also use larger ID lines and adjust as necessary. Easy to disassemble for cleaning, clear body for easy monitoring Made in Germany by CM Becker from Food grade plastic and stainless steel parts! Comes Equipped with 2 x 3/16" Barbs Easy to install to any existing beer line (cut line and install two clamps)
