  • Sale -24% CellarScience - Dry Yeast - VOSS Kveik Ale - PLACEHOLDER CellarScience - Dry Yeast - VOSS Kveik Ale - PLACEHOLDER

CellarScience® VOSS Dry Yeast | Kveik Ale | Premium Beer Yeast

Traditional farmhouse yeast from Voss, Norway. This kveik yeast strain ferments quickly at higher temperatures with superb flocculation. Produces a clean flavor profile with hints of orange peel & citrus. Every batch is PCR tested to ensure quality. Dosage: One sachet is enough to treat a 5–6 gallon batch. When calculating for larger batches, use at a rate of 2–3 grams per gallon of wort. We recommend rounding up by one full sachet rather than measuring out the yeast exactly. Direct Pitch or Rehydrate: VOSS yeast is designed to be sprinkled directly onto the surface of your wort with no oxygenation required in the initial fermentation. Our aerobic growth process makes this possible by creating dry yeast with high viability and high sterol levels. VOSS yeast is pre-loaded with essential nutrients to ensure a successful, complete fermentation. While not required, some brewers prefer to rehydrate yeast. To hydrate yeast, first, sanitize the yeast brick and scissors. Use 10 grams of sterilized tap water between 85-95°F (29-35°C) mixed with 0.25 grams of FermStart per gram of yeast. Sprinkle yeast on the water. Allow the slurry to stand undisturbed for 20 minutes, then swirl. Use small amounts of wort to adjust to within 10°F (6°C) of wort temperature before pitching. Ferment between 68-104°F (20-40°C). Optimum Fermentation Temp: 68-104°F Flocculation: Medium-High Alochol Tolerance: 16% ABV (LalBrew® Voss 12%) Attenuation: 75-80% Similar Strains: WLP520, OYL061 Gluten-free

    Premium Home Brewing Kit

    1 review

Everything that comes with our Deluxe kit plus some major upgrades Large 8.5-gallon brew kettle with ball valve port for easy transferring of liquids Copper wort chiller offers a quick & convenient way to chill wort — no ice bath required! Step-by-Step instruction pamphlet fine-tuned over 20 years for easy success Your choice of recipe kit included The Premium Homebrewing Starter Kit is our "get the best to start with" kit and comes with all the bells and whistles!  Included in this beer brewing starter kit is a massive 8.5 gallon stainless steel brewing kettle, 7 gallon Fermonster fermenter, copper wort chiller, choice of ingredient kit, and all the time tested brewing equipment you need to make beer at home.  Long story short, this kit has everything you need to start home brewing! We started with our Deluxe Homebrew Starter Kit (BRKIT200) and upgraded the brew kettle to an 8.5 gallon model. The larger volume kettle allows for Full-Boil brews which can have lighter color and better hop flavors. The included kettle spigot makes transferring liquid from your kettle to your Fermonster Fermenter safe and easy. Our kettle also includes a thermometer port with plug so that you can add a dedicated kettle thermometer at any time. You will also enjoy the new silicone handle grips and internally stamped volume markers. Then in order to quickly cool the beer after boiling we included our WC20 copper Wort Chiller (a $60 value!). To top it off, we upgraded the Fermonster by a gallon to a massive 7 gallon capacity. This can be key down the road when you want to brew certain styles of beer that foam a lot during fermentation. With smaller fermenters it can bubble right out of the top. Stay out of trouble by never making a mess!   A larger kettle, wort chiller and bigger fermenter are some of the first upgrades new brewers make—save yourself the hassle and purchase these items at an amazing value as part of the Premium Homebrew Starter Kit, from Morebeer!™ The Fermonster Fermenter - A Huge Upgrade Over Standard Buckets or Glass "Carboy" Water Bottles Unlike buckets or glass carboys, the Fermonster fermenter was designed for brewing beer. It is made from tough, clear, virgin grade PET plastic so you can see the magic of fermentation. Unlike glass it will never break and shatter if dropped. It represents a huge upgrade over traditional buckets because these fermenters are much less likely to get scratched. Scratches can hold bacteria that can cause off flavors in the beer.  The Fermonster comes with a built-in spigot that eliminates a long time issue in homebrewing of having to start a siphon to transfer your beer to the bottling bucket after fermentation is over. The large 4" lid allows for easily adding yeast, hops, or other additions. We also really love the molded-in level markers that tell you exactly when you have reached your desired volume. We Don't Skimp on Cleaning and Sanitizing Proper cleaning and sanitizing is one of the core tenants of making great beer. Some starter kits utilize an all-in-one cleaner/sanitizer that does neither job well.  We’ve included the best-selling sanitizer for brewing, Star San.  We also include Craftmeister oxygen-based cleaning tablets that make cleaning your Fermonster Fermenter a breeze. Other Upgrades That Make Brewing Easier We’ve also made a few items standard that really make the brew day easier including a thermometer for temperature monitoring and a hydrometer with testing jar for measuring sugar levels. Our reusable mesh bags allow for the easy removal of spent grain and hops at the end of the boil. The included stainless spoon is a really nice upgrade over plastic when you are stirring boiling liquids.   Easy to follow, How-To Instructions with Videos & a FREE 800 Number with Actual Brewers to ask questions! We've taught hundreds of thousands of people how to brew in over 25 years. Our instructions are clear and simple to follow and will have you making great beer with batch number one. This beer is an intense Double IPA that is highly bitter with an intense hop flavor and aroma thanks to its 9 separate hop additions. Haze Craze is our most popular New England IPA recipe kit. • Cannular Pro Semi Auto Bench Top Can Seamer (24V) Cannular Pro Semi Auto Bench Top Can Seamer (24V)

Cannular Pro Bench Top Can Seamer | Semi Automatic Can Seamer | 16 oz 202 Can Compatible | Adaptable for 32 oz Crowlers

    17 reviews

The Cannular Pro is a semi-automatic can seamer that is easy to use, reliable, and beautifully simple. Whether you're a brewery looking to offer canned beer to go or a homebrewer wanting to keep your creations fresh and fully protected from light, the Cannular is the answer. This bench top unit is one of the most compact and easy to use can seamers you'll find. The Cannular only requires one person to operate, and each can takes roughly 3 seconds to seam. With a two-person team, one filling and one seaming, the Cannular becomes a suitable option for nano breweries doing small canning production runs. Cannular Pro vs. Manual Unit This new Semi-Auto Pro model will guarantee you get a consistent seaming process every time. Unlike the less expensive manual can seamer, this machine has no lever for the seaming operation, meaning it's even easier for the operator to seam the can consistently and will not vary on how hard the operator is pulling the lever.  Another major difference is that the Cannular Pro's table spacer is specially designed to work with all standard 202 cans, including the industry favorite 16 oz (473ml) and 12 oz (355 ml) cans, as well as our 500ml (16.9 oz) and 330ml (11.2 oz) Can Fresh Aluminum Cans. Unlike the manual model that requires a secondary table spacer for use with 330ml cans, the Pro model features an adjustable platform, allowing you to raise or lower the table spacer depending on what size can you're seaming. It is necessary to adjust the table height to ensure you have the appropriate amount of pressure applied when the can lift is raised. The Cannular Pro can be adapted for use with 32 oz Crowlers (Ball 300 can/end). To seam Ball 300 end/lid type oversized aluminium cans you will need to purchase the required Chuck for 1L (32 oz) Crowlers separately (coming soon). The Cannular Pro can also be adapted for use with Tin Plated Steel Cans for food packaging applications. The table spacer is designed to accept these 100mm cans, but you will need to purchase the required 100mm Chuck separately. Operation: The beauty of the Cannular lies in how truly simple it is to operate, and the semi-automatic pro model makes canning beer even easier. With only three points of operation, it only takes a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the machine. The seaming process is as follows: Place lid atop the can and place the can on the table spacer Turn the platform lever clockwise to raise the can to the seamer Press the seaming operation button then wait for the can to stop spinning Turn the platform lever counterclockwise to lower the can That's all there is to it! Construction: The Cannular was designed to be compact, durable, and safe to operate in a wet environment. The platform assembly is made from 304 grade stainless steel, so no matter how messy your canning gets, there's no need to worry about rusting or degradation. The body of the unit is made from hammered sheet metal and fastened together with stainless steel screws. Rubber feet help keep the unit from slipping and sliding while in use. In addition, the Cannular features built-in brackets near the feet so you have the option to mount the machine to your counter or benchtop. The Cannular runs off of 24V DC power via the Anderson socket located on the back. This lower voltage was chosen specifically to make the unit as safe to use in a wet environment as possible.   Power: As noted above, the Cannular comes with a 24V DC Anderson socket located on the back of the unit. It does not, however, include a cord and plug. This unit uses the more powerful Pro Model Power Supply, which provides enough power to seam tin plated steel cans as well as aluminum cans.   Why Cans? So why can when you can bottle? There's no doubt that canning has become a more and more popular format for packaging beer among craft breweries over the last several years, and with good reason. Aluminum cans aren't just more environmentally friendly than bottles, since cans require less energy to transport and recycle, they're also much better at protecting the quality of the beer. Whereas bottles allow in light, which leads to skunking, aluminum cans offer 100% protection from UV and other wavelengths of light that are harmful to beer. There's still great debate surrounding whether cans or bottles are better at keeping beer fresh, but if done correctly, cans are theoretically the superior option. When a crown cap is crimped onto a bottle, the lining of the cap can form an imperfect seal on the bottle, allowing small amounts of oxygen in, as well as small amounts of CO2 out. Over time this can result in oxidation of the beer and lost carbonation. Seamed cans, on the other hand, form a much better seal that can prevent these issues. Of course, it's important to make sure that the can is purged of oxygen before being filled, and that the can lid is sealed atop foam to eliminate oxygen from the headspace. Aside from all the "sciency stuff", cans are just plain safer. Take your beer backpacking, camping, or poolside and rest assured that broken glass won't ruin your day!   Specifications: Power: 250W 24V DC Rated Speed: 3300 RPM Gearbox Ratio: 9.8 : 1 Dimensions: 16" L x 9.5" W x 21" H Weight: 40 lbs Splash guard not included Max Can Height: 7.75" (197mm) Please note the pictured splash guard is not included with the seamer. Please see CAN106 to add the splash guard to your order. Please note: When you receive your cannular the rollers have been set and tested at the factory. They should not need adjustment for 100,000 cans. We recommend testing at least 4 cans to verify the calibration. The table, however, comes unadjusted and getting it set up correctly is very important to getting a proper seal. Cannular's test show that a minimum 0.4mm (.015") actual overlap is needed to seal to 90 PSI. The proper table tension takes a little practice and expect to waste a few cans getting it dialed in. Once you learn the proper tension re-adjusting it is very quick and easy. You want the tension to be tight but not so tight as to dent the can. Use cans at your fill height with water for proper tension adjustment. Kegland Part number: KL15769
