Acid Blend
A 1/3 mix each of citric, tartaric and malic acids. Primarily used in fruit wines to adjust acid levels. A rough approximate of weight is 1 tsp = 3 grams. We highly recommend using a scale to weigh the product for an accurate dose. We do not recommend relying on these rough conversions for accurate dosage rates.

Winemaking Equipment Kit for VineCo Concentrate Kits
Start making great wine at home with a small investment in some quality equipment. This inexpensive starter package includes all the equipment you will need to begin making wine with VineCo's extensive line of concentrate kits. These kits are designed to make 23 liters of wine, or about 6 gallons. Primary fermentation will take place in the included 7.9 gallon bucket. Dry Mead
Dry mead is similar to a dry white wine. This kit will make a delicious dry mead that you can age out for years to come. You can also choose to carbonate it and serve at a wedding for a sparkling mead toast! As a slight aside, the term Honeymoon is said to refer to drinking Mead for 1 month after the wedding to help ensure the birth of a boy. While the kit is great still or carbonated, the adventurous home fermenter could use this kit as a base on which to experiment. Consider fermenting it out and then splitting it off into smaller 1 gallon containers where you can make a sweet mead by adding more honey to one, vanilla bean to another, fruit to another, etc. When making a Dry Mead we recommend that you have a small amount of Tartaric Acid on hand at the end of fermentation. As with a wine, a final small bump in acidity can bring out the honey flavor and aroma and add a bit of refreshment. We suggest adding 1/4 tsp at a time to your taste. Mead Equipment Kit to Make 5 Gallons
If you're not currently a homebrewer this kit includes all the necessary equipment to make 5 gallons of mead at home.This kit assumes you already have a 5 gallon kettle or larger.You might also need a 5 gallon plastic carboy if you're going to make a fruit mead. This carboy will be used for racking from your primary fermenter to a secondary for clarification and settling of yeast. Make sure secondary carboy is filled 1-2" from the airlock for minimal oxygen exposure. You can use our glass marbles or top up with distilled water to fill head space.
