The LinkTech 60PS Series is a lineup of premium plastic Quick Disconnects.  These High Quality QDs are made from medical grade polypropylene, a high-strength plastic that is temperature tolerant 160° (Max!), and can handle pressure ranging from a vacuum to 60 psi. All of the 60PS Series will interconnect, and these units will also work seamlessly (and leaklessly!) with CPC Quick Disconnects of the same internal 3/8” flow path.  O-rings are a EPDM Rubber, and internal valve springs are constructed from 316 Stainless steel. When used in conjunction with the male QD these quick disconnects seal up completely regardless of the liquids direction of flow, while remaining simple and easy to use. This will work with any of our H503 and H507 series of quick disconnects. However, it does not work in conjunction with any of our plastic or brass quick disconnects. These feature a 1/2" Female National Pipe Thread on the ends for easy connectivity to almost anything.   The quick disconnect will hold pressure for typical brewing applications when moving liquids at 60psi or less. 1/2" ID. Gasket temperature range is -40° to 250° F. Open port, does not have shut-off.   We designed the original stainless QD's for the brewing industry over 10 years ago. The same manufacturer has been machining them for us ever since. The design has certainly been copied but not with consistent quality. Use the OxyWand™ to infuse oxygen into your must during the start of fermentation to feed yeast and to reduce volatile sulfur compounds (VSC's) with a process called Macro Oxygenation. It is actually very easy to do. Insert the wand, turn on oxygen, and leave it on only while you punch the cap. After three days or when your wine has reached 10% alcohol stop oxygenating. Yeast use the oxygen as a nutrient to produce healthy cell walls which helps to eliminate issues throughout fermentation. Healthy yeast also produce better flavors and produce less Volatile Sulfur Compounds. You can also actually smell the must become fresher and more fruity while oxygenating as VSC's are driven off. Note that in styles like Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc where sulfur compounds are part of the flavor profile you would want to reduce the amount of Macro Oxygenation in frequency and/or duration. This is a high quality plastic quick disconnect made by CM Becker for your gas line. Flare is 1/4" Tip N' Trick: Sometimes ball lock fittings are a challenge to quick disconnect "on and off" a cornelius keg. We recommend spraying the body connect on the keg first with a sanitizer solution which acts as a lubricant. When applying the ball lock fitting to the body connect, give a twist and turn to make it easier to connect. We've coined this term "Lube and Turn".
