I ordered two of these growlers. They both come with a handle on the lid which isn't shown in the product pictures. The handles don't match either likely a result of these being made in China. The overall metal quality is good no obvious imperfections. The seal locks in place well. The biggest reason for the three stars on this review is the operation of the swing top. If you have used swing top glass bottles before you will find that this growler lid works nowhere near as well. It opens awkwardly and almost feels like a battle to get it where you want it so you can pour out of it properly. When you first get these growlers it will take several attempts to get used to the lid's operation and even then you will still keep wishing it opened as well as the glass swing tops do. Primary purpose of buying this was to replace fragile glass growlers when packing for trips. Overall would I buy again? Yes because it is one of the only few cost effective and simple stainless growlers out there but there is definitely room for improvement in order to get this product to 5 stars.
better than I had hoped great product.
These work great. Keep beer colder than single wall growlers. Holds pressure for a couple days at least. My daughter paints them and we give them as gifts.
Stainless steel vacuum bottle is well made. Can't wait to find a brewery open on the way home!
The growler works very well and would recommend it to anyone

I BROUGHT THIS TO STORE SOMETHING ELSE AND ITS A BIG WELL MADE STAINLESS STEEL BOTTLE.
This growler is awesome the fit and finish of the whole thing is smooth and even. Opening the lid all the way is a little bit of a hassle till you figure out the process after that is is fine. It shipped and arrived when it was scheduled. I will definitely order more as I have a need for them.
This is the first growler I've purchased and am so pleased with it that I'm planning on getting another one. Thankfully the brewery that I use it at - 5 Suns Brewery Martinez - has never hesitated to fill it and indeed welcome my weekly appearances (hence the decision to get a second one especially when the brewery is encouraging me to buy one of their growlers at 2.5 times the price of this growler [definitely not buying theirs]). Thank you More Beer!
These are great for long term aging and the optional tap makes it wonderful for partying. I have 4 so far and they keep your brew cold for hours.
Unfortunately due to Covid-19 none of the breweries I've been to lately will fill it but it sure looks good!
Nice growler!!! And a helluva price too!!!
A 'but' is always there somewhere mine is in the top. The connection between the top and the vessel is problem matic sometimes it takes just a little adjustment to fit properly and it becomes a wrestling match to get it in place. Once the beer is added it does keep it cold much better than expected. Overall worth the $ to purchase again.
This is a nice growler. I've even carbonated 64 oz of my beer in it.
You can't beat the price for this durable stainless steel growler. The latch top can be a little tricky but it's better than unscrewing a cap every time you need to refill your beer.
Great growler. A little hard to get the pressure right on tap cap.
Well made growler is double walled will keep things cold or hot. Great price.
Easy setup works great
The quality of the growler is good given that it is a SS and double walled. The only issue that I have seen with limited use is there are two 'set screws' attach the cap to the growler. First issue making sure that the set screws are tight enough. The second issue is making sure that where you tighten the set screws is at the correct level so the gasket does not leak either pressure or liquid. Once I did that I believe that it will function correctly and hold pressure/liquid.
This is an amazing vessel. It's made in the USA. When I ordered it I was mainly attracted to the size insulation capability 30 psi-rating and super basic function. However it's so cool in person I am astounded. It looks like a space capsule. Notice that it's wider on the top than the bottom -- very elegant and powerful looking. The cap has Keg King lettering and logo and the bottom is stamped with a seal and specification lettering. It's so good this could be entered in a contest with your beer inside.
Double walled stainless steel holds half a gallon and a leak free cap. Stays cold for hours. What more could want?
This growler works well and keeps the contents cold.
Does the job for bringing beer to my Homebrew Club meetings
What size rubber stopper will fit this? I like to counterpressure fill my growlers using a bottling wand and stopper
A #10 stopper fits mine.
Don’t make it hard. Get a growler fill hose for your tap. Growlers are by design are short term storage.
Can these be heat sanitized like in a dishwasher? I know that unpainted stainless steel normally does fine but I'm concerned about the lid/washer material...
Many have washed this in a dishwasher with no problems. The washers are all silicone and heat resistant. The one concerns may be how the insulation pocket responds to rapid temperature changes but I've never had a problem with that going from a bucket of hot PBW to a cold bucket of StarSan.
I wouldn’t. It has gaskets but it also has double walls and stuff like that tends to age poorly in the dishwasher.
I don't know why not. I normally keep mine clean after each use and then just rinse it well before I fill it. However I don't store my beer in these for long they normally get emptied the same day I fill them. The gasket will come off if you are worried about the heat from the dry cycle in the dishwasher; otherwise I don't see why this growler wouldn't be perfectly dishwasher safe. Hope this helps salute!
Yes put the washer in with the silverware
Is this graded to hold pressure? Can you bottle condition in it?
I use this under pressure . It does not have a NSF stamp but the manufacturer does have stamped on the bottom " Not to exceeded 2 Bar (30 psi) " I use this growler as a mini keg for taking to parties or cookouts . Keg King who makes this item has a dispenser head that replaces the solid lid with a co2 in and a picnic tap on a short hose. This head does not retain pressure that well for more than a couple of hours but the solid cap has a much thicker gasket and seals better. I have not conditioned beer with this but think it should work for that. never having done it I can't say for sure.
I believe so. Description states "The spring wired lid makes this growler capable of holding up to 30 psi." So unless one gets crazy with carbonation this should be OK. I do know having the growler filled at local brewpub and opening it a few days later the lid came off with a "pop". Glad the lid was attached with the swing handles. Hope this helps.
Yes Just like the beer bottles that have the same top opening but as with all pressurized items there may be some care taken. Glass will break with excessive pressure but the steel should hold like a keg at same pressure
Yes it can handle standard beer pressures up to what is considered high carbonation (3-4 volumes CO2). Bottle conditioning shouldn't be a problem.
Yes it does. And I would think you could bottle condition in it. You can adjust CO2 easily by turning a dial
I condition and age beer in these all the time. The only thing I would watch for is that the seal is seated properly. Keg King rates the the spring lid at 40 psi which is more than enough for typical carbonation. Anything higher than that and I would seek cover or put on my rain slickers when serving!
