works great and love it!

Works fine controls plus or minus 2 degrees.

Love it. Does everything that it was advertised to do.

My only reservation with this product is.. I should have bought the digital version. However this does a good job of getting the job done.

I use this to make lagers it works great.

Use it and it works fine but doesn't really hold stable temperatures in the keezer. Readings on the dial don't seem precise.

I'm not sure I would trust this one for my main fermenting temp controller. I use it in my keezer. It's analog so it is not very precise. Not at all actually. But I took a day to throw a trusted thermometer in there and then made a mark on the dial for serving temp and lagering temps and now it does the job quite well.

Works good but no frills

This is really feedback for More Beer. I haven't installed the sensor yet so I can't comment on its accuracy but as someone already noted this product is ugly. In particular the copper wire from the sensor to the control box. My black fridge is in the kitchen and the copper wire has to run over the top of it to insert into the door. Does the wire have to be so rigid? How about a wire that will lay flat and is insulated in black or other colored rubber for those of us who aren't using this product in an industrial setting!

I have one of these on my MoreBeer Conical and one on my secondary frig and it keeps the temperature stable and within the 2 degree margins I've set. Never had a concern about my beer or wort getting too hot or cold. The nice thing is even after unplugging it and plugging it back in it remembers your last settings... no need to reprogram.

No frills. No programming. Very easy. I have used this on my keezer for 4 years with no problems whatsoever. Note that the line running from the controller to prob is pretty fragile and can easily be kinked if you're not careful.

I use it in my fermentation fridge and it keeps a steady temp for me. There is a 3* diff from the dial to the sensor but that is an easy adjustment to make.

I've been using this for about a year and it's always kept my chest freezer at a constant temperature.

Despite having a digital temp controller as well this one is my old stand by and works non stop in my serving kegorator chest freezer. For an application where less precise control is needed you can't beat this price for that application.

I converted a chest freezer to a keg beer dispenser by removing the lid building a wooden collar drilling all of the necessary holes through the wood reattaching the lid and then mounting the analog temperature controller on the outside. The temperature has remained nearly constant for over one year without any noticeable change to our electricity bill.

If your using this to maintain the temp of your fermentation fridge it works exactly like you want it to. I have a thermometer stuck to the side of my fridge which is outside. Regardless of the season temp seems to maintain within 2 or 3 degrees of where I have the this temp controller set. Easy to set up to.

As stated in several previous reviews this device produces a temperature different from that which you dial into it however the deviation is relatively reliable and easy to discern with a thermometer inside the kegerator (or whatever). I have the probe in a bucket of water inside my fermentation chamber in an effort to make it more accurately reflect the temperatures inside my fermenters. The copper cable connecting the probe to the controller sucks and I hate it. For the price I would not expect the copper cable nor the temperature issues I have had.

This controller is not as accurate as a digital model and you should check the calibration with a regular thermometer for accuracy. That said when you have the calibration dialed in it functions with decent accuracy (minimal temp swings). Also be careful with the temp probe because I have heard that if you kink it then it will be toast. All said this unit keeps my keezer dialed in and therefore keeps my beer at the proper serving temps.

To help with the compressor and more consistent temperature it can be beneficial to put the probe into a liquid so that the compressor kicks on to maintain the temp of the liquid not the air inside the fridge/freezer. The gel inside ice packs works well combined with a White Labs tube.

This "thermostat" is great I used to put a thermometer to check the correct temperature of the fridge and it works just great. Just the normal +- 2*F.

I use this for my keezer. It doesn't keep as constant temps as my johnson controller. But I don't mind if my keezer is as temp sensitive as my fermenting fridge. Think it's a little expensive but ok nonetheless.

Does the job of warming up kegerators to a temp range for fermenting lagers. My Danby kegerator has a built-in hole in the back (for a CO2 hose) that the probe fits through.

I do use this for fermenting in a fridge and I always use it with a thermometer to make sure as we all know ferm temp is crucial. I strap the probe to the side of the carboy and cover it with a piece of bibble wrap. I have rarely seen it shoot 2 degrees high or low from my set ferm temp.

I have never had any of the problems that the other reviewers have had. In fact mine has worked fantastically since I received it. I did have to set it for about 2*F lower than what I wanted my kegerator to stay at but that was not a problem. It has always maintained my desired temp of 40*F with no issues.

Device seems to work at higher ale-fermenting temps but tends to exhibit a wider range at lower temperatures. You definitely cannot rely on the analog temperature that you dial in. You'll need a separate thermometer to match the controller against and re-calibrate the number you should dial in. Not perfect and really ugly device and exposed wire to have hanging outside of your kegerator but it works nonetheless and at the price there are no other options for temperature control. This device has allowed me to brew several very tasty lagers and properly ferment ales here in socal.

It reads about 5 degrees too cold but ALWAYS reads wrong in the same way. Double check where its at with fermometers or other devices and account for its inaccuracy when you set it. If I could do it over I would probably opt for the digital one. I may just do that because this would make a great keezer conrol option.

Also known as a keezer I built my own kegerator from a freezer. This analog temperature control unit works perfectly for this purpose. I have a digital thermometer that displays the temp and it keeps my beer at the perfect serving temperature with minimal temp swings.

I have been using this controller for 7 yrs now with no problems. Plug it in set a temp. and your good. Do your self a favor and put a thermometer in the environment you have the temp. bulb placed. This will help you set the dial to get the temps. your looking for. Also read the "tips" tab on the product page.

Works great and a great price!

The analog temperature controller works great as an economical option. A digital two stage controller is obviously a better option but for the price the analog controller works fine. I'd suggest tapping the probe to the side of your fermentor and insulating it with a towel or styrofoam or putting the probe in some water to get a better temperature reading. My only complaint is that the copper chord attaching the probe to the controller is a little hard to deal with at times.

I have used this in a keezer for years with no issue. Every time I pour a beer it comes out cold but not frozen. Those are my rigid requirements for this device. It meets them fully.
