The heat shielding could be improved but overall this is a very effective burner. There is a single stage regulator not the dual stage regulator unless you consider that there is a needle valve on the top of the regulator which is all manual and there is a normally closed solenoid that is very straightforward and easy to install. Once you get up to boil you must adjust the needle valve down by hand to maintain a boil. The controller cannot really maintain temperature without interrupting the flame. Overall the best burner design I've used today and the next generation will most likely be even better. I still give this a five though for their innovation and the burner control option is the only way to go! We use this as a pilot for our brewing system.
