Customers praised the rhizomes for rapid sprouting, often within days to two weeks, with strong growth. Many noted "growing like a champion" and reaching impressive heights. However, some experienced inconsistent success rates, with only 2-5 out of multiple rhizomes sprouting. Fast shipping was frequently mentioned, though climate challenges affected some growers.
I ordered 3 Cascade Rhizomes. 2 already sprouted and are growing very quick. I planted them immediately after received. Picture are showing the progress just 10 days after planted. I’m still positive that the 3rd will sprout soon.
Well 2 of 4 took hold and are growing nicely. Definitely recommend buying more than one just in case you get a dud
Very healthy and sprouting Cascade rhizome. Put it in a pot and within days 2 of the 4 or so sprouts were already working their way above ground. Nice!
2 out of 5 rhizomes sprouted
I'm happy to see the little hops popping up already! Can't wait for them to become a beautiful vine.
fast shipping good looking plants
Pre-order arrived 2 days after shipping notification planted immediately first shoots up in 8 days. Going strong in first season.
I planted these hops right when they arrived in mid April and I strung a twine to the eve of my 1 story house and they grew about 13 feet and now they are budding already and it’s early July!!! I highly recommend installing a drip system in for hops and using well drained soil. I live in Turlock Ca and it’s hot as hell here. My hops are on the hottest south facing side of my house with pretty much full sun all day. I made sure to cut the shade leaves off the bottom 3 ft and I also spray them weekly with organic pest repellent. I can’t wait to brew with these. I think I might get 2 harvests off of them this year which I read online can happen. So overall I love how great these are growing and how healthy they arrived to my house from More beer! Cheers!
Ordered Columbus cascade and chinook. Cascade was the slow starter but ended up with 11 buds! I had to check and make sure I didn’t accidentally order 2 and bury them in the same pot. One month later it’s a birds nest of bines the oldest with some side arms. TBD if there will be any yield growing in central Fla. but off to a promising start!
Trust MoreBeer's rhizomes! They were big and healthy. All four I purchased took off shortly and are growing well.
Received this product and it already had growth started. After planting following the provided instructions the growth started to show up within a week. After two weeks the plants are beginning to climb. I would recommend this product.
These clippings have only a few off shoots. But better than most.
The Rizomes arrived on time. They are now growing in a pot inside. They are growing nicely.
Seems to be growing well.
Rhizomes arrived as expected and in good shape. Planted last weekend and already 3 of the 4 have started to sprout up through the ground. Planted these near my four Centennial plants that are in thier second season and eveything is looking well.
I ordered 5 rhizomes and now that they've finally been planted all 5 have sprouted and are growing quickly. It will be a year before I can harvest so I'll have to wait until then to use any hops. Until then so far so good...
Received rhizomes quickly planted and new growth started within one week.
Great Rhizomes! They were delivered within a week and were already sprouting shoots. I planted them that day and now I have plants 6” out of the ground already in just a couple weeks. Definitely recommend morebeer for Rhizomes and delivery!
Popping up definitely a bit slower than the Centennial but it is starting to leaf out.
Looked healthy It’s under dirt now so no photo to share!
The Centennial rhizome is growing but is very small an flimsy at this point after three months. This and my other hop rhizomes (Centennial Willamette and Cascade) grew great in Sammamish WA but are really struggling in San Diego (Escondido). I think the climate is too hot for hops even though they do great in the Yakima/Moxie WA area which has volcanic soil and cold winters. In San Diego it is dry and their isn't much variation year-round. I'm sure it isn't the rhizome at issue.
All 3 rhizomes i planted are growing and are about 12 feet tall.
My Cascade hop rhizome is doing well - three shoots have surfaced and the beautiful leaves are developing nicely. Let's see how tall this one gets in year 1.
This is one of the better growing plants I have can’t wait to see what it produces
They arrived quickly and worked out great.
Hops arrived as described. First signs of growth poking through the ground just this week. Has been a late spring it seems. Four orderded and all four growing. Thanks
Very good looking rhizomes. Previous order had hops on vine within 3 months. Very pleased.
after researching hop varieties that grow well in virginia I settled on these cascade hops. All 5 arrived alive and well; all having officially put on 2-5 inches above the ground after about 2 weeks. I have them in a raised planter box climbing up cabling. Very excited to see the yields - but step 1 (keeping them alive) is complete.
Including planting instructions with the shipment would be great!
When ordering Rhizomes beware using USPS pay the extra $ for UPS or Fedex. I live 70 miles from Concord CA and it took USPS 6 days to deliver my Rhizomes. They are growing but were clearly on their last leg when they arrived. I was ticked at MoreBeer but customer service reminded me that I selected shipment method when I ordered. Big mistake. USPS isn't going under because of Amazon they are incompetent.
So far so good. First rhizome to break ground
Don't remember where I bought my rhizomes last year but no matter. This year's Cascade and Columbus from More Beer are strong and healthy. The most robust bines have grown 3" in the first week of being in the ground.
mine showed up in great time from ordering came in excellent condition checked the plant last night its growing
