Czech Saaz | Pellet Hops

    Description

    Traditional Czech Saaz hops are most commonly chosen for aromatic additions to Pilsners and Lagers, but also work well in Light Ales and Belgians. Though alpha acids are low, they are used for both bittering and an aroma of pleasant earthy, herbal and floral notes. You can finish just about any Lager recipe with this versatile hop. Even though it has a low alpha-acid content you will find many traditional recipes using this hop for both bittering and for flavor/aroma additions.

        If you want to emulate the original pilsner you just have to use Czech Saaz hops! I use them for all additions and I do a double decoction!

        Got them in and they were plenty fresh. The only thing that would have been better would be a perforated pound in 1 and 2 oz portions.

        In the descriptions of the hops you show storability as poor good average etc. What are the storage limits in weeks months years?? fridge freezer cool dark place

        I am not too sure with this hop as I do not use if much but I always have my hops out of the freezer as little as possible and once I open them I store them in foodsaver bags vacuum sealed. I generally have hops in my freezer for over a year. If I do use hops over a year old I usually do use more of them since I know they lose a little of their power. I hope this helps.
