Distillation Lid for 35L BrewZilla / DigiBoil | 6mm Gasket

    Description

    Use this lid along with the 35L BrewZilla or DigiBoil and a copper still top (DS120or DS130) to make your own easy-to-use distillery.

    This lid has a 1.85" (47mm) hole for the still top. Lid gasket included.

    Note: This lid uses a 6mm gasket to better fit the Gen 4 BrewZilla and Gen 2 DigiBoil. It is also backwards compatible with Gen 3 and older BrewZillas and Gen 1 DigiBoils. To improve the seal further, we highly recommend using the Adjustable Lid Clamps with the Distillation Lid if your unit does not have them.

        Added this distillation lid to my existing fermenter added a thermowell a tri-clamp bulkhead and the pressure fermentation cap making a great pressure fermentation vessel. Everything except the SS tank was purchased from MoreBeer.

        What kind of fitting does the lid have how does the still top attach?

        You can add a 2" tri-clamp bulkhead fitting should you wish to add a different configuration of distilling tower.

        The lid is simply a hole. The still has a flange and a basin nut (similar to that on the bottom or a metal sink (but smaller) about 2.5 inches in size. The still comes with 2 rubber seals that mount on the inner and outer lid surfaces to make a seal. The base of the still is threaded so you tighten the nut and no leaks.

        Hi Dwayne - We currently do not have an ETA as to when the 65L distillation lid will be available. However we do have them on the way so checking back in towards the end of March; we should have a better idea on when they will arrive.

        Can I take this distillers lid and add a stopper and an airlock and turn a robobrew into a fermenter?

        I don't see why not. Though I'm not sure I would ferment in one it would kind of be a pain to clean. But as an alternative you can just cover the top with saran wrap and hold it in place with a big rubber band the gasket on a 5 gal. bucket lid works well.
