    Description

    This Duotight reducer is used when stepping down from 9.5 mm OD (D1719) to 8 mm OD EVABarrier tubing (D1717 & D1718).

    Duotight offers superior quality when compared to other push-in fittings. Their double EPDM O-ring design provides a more complete and reliable seal, protecting against leaks even when tubing is bent around tight corners. They are suitable for both beverage and gas applications, and are pressure rated to 100 psi. Tubing can be released by simply pushing in the collet and pulling the line out. No need for clamps or cutting lines!

    • Made from food-grade acetal plastic
    • Double O-rings made from highly chemical resistant EPDM
    • Locking teeth made from stainless steel
    • Pressure rated to 150 psi
    • Temperature rated to 212°F (100°C)

    Please note: exposure to chlorine will degrade the acetal plastic and stainless steel these fittings are made from. Do not use in contact with bleach or other chlorinated cleaning chemicals.

        Can I use this after my Blow Tie Spunding Valve? I use 9.5 mm OD (D1719) lines. I will use a Rigid Plastic Joiner 8 mm exiting Spunding Valve and into this Reducer then into my 9.5 mm OD (D1719) line.

        Will the 9.5 mm end fit over a 1/4" barb?

        No. This is made for The special tubing. You could put that tubing in them heat it with a heat gun and force it over the 1/4” barb.

        As far as I know It’s not made to fit over a barb. In the case of a beer shank it has a grove cut in the metal fitting to snap into but only those barbs that are made for the Duotight product.

        No. It needs a stem connection. Special type barbs which are cross compatible with duotight such as ones found on intertap shank might fit. Regular barbs won't.
