I have thrown out all of my other (non EZ Cap) Grolsch swing top bottles and have replaced them with these. I especially like being able to start by crimping on a crown cap and then having the swing top closure to use after the bottle is opened. The choice of colors is nice (Amber Clear or Blue); however I wish they were also available in green. My second wish is that MoreBeer would also carry the handle that attaches to the Wire Bales. Not only does it make the 1 liter bottles look nicer more growler-like it also makes closing the swing top much easier by providing additional leverage.
Beware these aren't like normal swing top bottles. As it sort of says in the item description these aren't meant for bottling with the swing top. I have used swing tops for a long time and have never had problems until I used this type. These will not hold carbonation and your beer will almost certainly be flat if you use the swing top at bottling. I suspect the issue is the somewhat unusual gasket on these I have not tried replacing them with a normal donut type gasket yet nor have I tried bottling with crown caps with these. Why even make a swing top if you can't bottle with it as it is sold? Seems ridiculous to me. Made in China go figure.
Great bottles quick supply GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
My go-to bottles! Offered at an exceptional price point and shipped quickly.
Sure beats filling and capping 12 ounce bottles!

I was surprised by their weight. All of them arrived safe and sound. They are now full of cider in my cellar. Bottling was much easier with them than with 12-ounce bottles and caps.
These bottles are great quality. Using them for kombucha. Perfect. Shipping was super fast.
These have great quality swing tops and the glass is sturdy. 1 Liter size is perfect size to share with 2 people. Plus instead of capping about 3 bottles you only cap 1 of these. Although I would recommend using bottle caps to bottle condition your beer. Then use the swing tops to seal any leftover beer after popping the cap. Reason is when I used these bottles for their first bottling session the gasket seal was leaking on a few of them and I had to adjust the gasket a few times to get a correct seal. I'm thinking this was due the the new gasket and that the bottles are shipped without the swing cap mounted on them. Maybe I should have installed the swing tops first before my bottling session to "break in" the gaskets? Also for capping you will need a bench top bottle capper as the two handle cappers will not grab the lip on these 1 Liter bottles. I would definitely buy these again! But I already purchased 2 cases!!
I have been using EZ Cap's for around 30 years and like their ease of use . I add more of the larger size to cut down on the "pain" of bottling
Very happy with the bottles. Worked perfectly will order again.
Very good quality bottles that arrived well-packaged and on time. I use these for fire vinegar and have already done a batch. Thank you.
Half the EZ caps won’t seal properly. Pushing down to lock them they pop off which is a real pain especially if you have beer in bottle. Might as well drain pour.
These were better than expected. These are smooth were others have a notch in the glass that impedes labeling. Putting them together is a bit rough on the thumbs but they loosen up a bit with use.
I just bottled my first batch in them. Much easier than three times as many regular cap bottles.
Nice quality bottles. Wire gage is thicker than others I have used and should last linger
They were perfect for our home brew.
We got these bottles in order to fill less bottles with our 5 gal kit. The beer filled around 20 of these and that’s much better than having around 50 bottles around. Great quality glass bottles that we will definitely purchase again.
#1 thing I hate most about brewing is cleaning bottles. I had a kegging system for a while and that helped the problem but my keezer broke and I moved. Went away from brewing and now I'm back and I switched to using these. So glad I did. A 12 pack is just shy of being able to cover a 5 gallon batch if you have a few bombers or regular bottles to cover the extra it works great and you have wayyyy fewer bottles to clean. I've had to bend the EZ capping devices to fit better on the bottles which isn't a big deal if you have pliers. ALSO Important to note that although you can bottle cap which I recommend you do you need the bench capper not the handheld one that comes in most kits.
These are great for brewing. Will use in all future bottling.
Absolutely love these bottles they are thick and heavy hold just enough for 3 full 10 5 oz beers. I have 6 cases of these and 5 cases of the 16 oz easy to reseal bottle so you can finish it later.
I purchased a case of bottles. Relatively easy to clean and the cap stays well sealed.
I’m very impressed with their quality capacity and ease of use. They’re just what I needed.
I purchased these because I didn't have zoom in my Keezer to keg my chocolate porter. I purchased a case and now get to enjoy via bottles again. These bottles are very easy to clean and very simple to use.
Before I started to keg these were life savers. I spent many years collecting Grolsch bottles and any other flip tops I could find (there are some small soda companies that use them too). I ultimately bought 2 cases of 750ml bottles to speed bottling night and completely remove caps from my normal bottling routine. This is a better deal than I found back then. Instead of spending hours you can have 5 gallons in sealed bottles in less than 30 minutes. Not quite as easy as kegging but close.
Hello. Can you bottle condition in this via priming sugar ? Thank you
Yes you can. But you need to keep an eye on the rubber stoppers. If they start getting hard they need to be changed.
Yes you can cap them with regular caps or use the swing top. It works.
Yes I do it all the time.
Can I sterilize these bottles with others in the oven with the rubber seals?
I don't think you should as rubber will melt when exposed to heat.
I sanitize the bottles with gaskets on in Starsan. I wouldn’t put the gaskets in the oven. I’ve never had a problem just using Starsan to prepare clean bottles for bottling.
No. Star san mix in a spray bottle works just as well.
Not sure. Rubber stopper might not take the heat
I wouldn’t do that. Go for a pressure cooker with an inch of water. That’s what every laboratory does. They just call it autoclave. Much safer and easier on plastic and rubber
What pressure(volumesCO2) are these rated for?
Stefano - 100 PSI.
Will a hand capper (wing type) work on this bottle?
No You just use your hands and flip the top down with your hands. or flip it up to open.
I just tried to use my hand capper with these bottles and the neck of the bottle was too thick for the capper to close all the way and seal the cap. The capper I have is the one from the morebeer starter kit.
Are the tops plastic or ceramic?
E.Z. Caps are currently manufactured using a strong molded plastic cap with a rubber gasket.
Ceramic
They are ceramic. Very simple to use and well worth it. There is a rubber gasket attached to the ceramic piece the may need replaced eventually (mine are about 3 years old) but they dont cost much.
Plastic
The white part of the top is plastic.
They are heavy plastic.
they're ceramic with a rubber seal
