These impart a very nice toasted Oak flavor with hints of vanilla. Be careful in how much you use though. A little goes a long way. I would suggest aging this beer for a little while after you add the chips because the oak flavors are a little intense in the beginning stages

i have used a few different types of oak chips from Dark to this version. I really like the flavor this french oak imparts on my darker beer...especially my browns. Very clean oak flavor but not too woodsy. I add to secondary for approx 7-10 days.
