        So far so good

I finally had to replace the original controller when it died on brew # 84. I’ve only used the new one once so far and I didn’t use the app (I’ve seen quite a few difficulties with it online so I decided to avoid that variable for now). It does a MUCH better job of controlling the temperature and makes step mashing a breeze. Being able to set the timer to heat the mash water so it’s ready when I get up in the morning is a great feature.

Can this device be used on any grainfather either 110v or 220v?

        MoreWine

I had to purchase another controller because mine began to overheat at the plug for the heating element. There must be a short in the unit. Wondering if this is a common problem.

        MoreWine

This box is not cross compatible with 110v and 220v. This box is intended for 110v only.

        MoreWine

I’m only aware of the 110v model. The cord has a standard plug for a 110v receptacle.
