Very good wine
My first venture into wine making. I really like the wine even without having it aged long enough I'm afraid. Smooth no off flavors. Could benefit from a bit more oak but otherwise really great!

The wine kit in it's self is great the problem is Amarone is supposed to be a higher alcohol % wine (14-16%). If you follow the instructions it ends up at a 1.082 s.g. which ends up at around a 11-12% so to get to the intended strength you use less water then your at 5 gallons instead of 6. In short Give me the wine style i paid for.

I have not started to ferment this kit as of this writing yet I have used other kits and the Amarone is an excellent wine. Many of my friends and relatives' have always commented how good this wine is. This is very good even if not aged but excellent if aged for at least a year or more.

To be honest I don't know where the grapes in this kit come from but most grapes to make Amarone wine come from Italy and are sun dried on straw.I have been drinking Amarone from different companies and it is a wine you will not be disappointed in.
