This kettle tube screen was great addition to simplifying & improving our beer making experience.

Works great in a mash run!

I attempted to make one myself but the mesh woven too tight and the orifice too small so it drained slowly and clogged easily. This filter fit right into my manifold and works so well. No clogging and no slow drain. Well worth it!

Used this to wrap around my boil kettle pickup tube without the threaded nipple on the end and hand crimped it to the 1/2" pickup tube. Worked well with 1 Oz cone hop test but still clogged by the end and required attention to keep unclogged. This caused the whirlpool I had going with the pump useless as the pellet hop material was disturbed. Overall a success and step forward for backyard hop brews

So i finally bought this tube screen for my 8.5 gal boil kettle and it is awesome. easy to install and cleans easily. very well constructed mesh tube doesn't crush under the weight of my wort chiller.

My stainless braid finally die of old age so I got this for my 10gal round cooler tun. Had trouble sparging 7 pounds malt 5 pounds white flour with the braid. But when I put this in to replace it sparges run clear and steady flow.

I purchased this product to use per the recommended use by MoreBeer.com. I have not tried the filtering ability of this part but I can say it would get smashed by my copper wort chiller. Might trade the part off to a buddy to use as a false bottom.

Good idea but two issues: it clogs relatively quickly and it is difficult to direct the flow into the fermenter.

Does the job in the mash tun without getting crushed/flattened by the weight of the grains.

I use this in my 8 gallon brew kettle. Overall it works well but will get clogged with hops. Recently Ive started putting my hops in a 1 gallon nylon paint strainer bag and that seems to help out quite a bit. I would have given this 5 stars except that shortly after using the screen separated from the threads. That doesnt make it unusable I just leave the threads attached to my kettle and screw the screen back on to the threads when I brew.

I use it in my mash tun - works great. I have brewed 6 times with it and it still holds shape... easy to clean

If you're just starting to go all-grain this is the ticket. You probably already have a 64-quart or larger ice chest or a 10 gallon Igloo. Grab a valve a collar and a threaded coupler and you're in business. Unless you end up with a particularly difficult sparge from too much wheat (and you forgot to decrease density with rice hulls) you'll get a dependable clog-free sparge.

Catches most hop particles in the boil leaving nice clear wort.

I think it's better the False Bottom but this one could be used on the Boil Kettle when using whole hops

Added this to my brew kettle and it has reduced the sediment I was transferring significantly. It does tend to clog with hops so you either have greater losses or you have to work at getting the last inch or two out of the kettle.

I originally bought this several years ago to block hops from entering my carboy. I As another reviewer mentioned it does clog quite quickly with pellet hops. So I use it in my Rubbermaid mash/lauter tun instead. It works better than a false bottom I had since husks were slipping under the sides. Don't forget to screw this on before adding strike water !!!

This thing is extremely easy to screw into your kettle or your mash tun. It does a pretty good job at keeping sediment out while you transfer. It does tend to get clogged with the super hoppy batches but since it is much cheaper than a false bottom I think it is well worth the price and ease of use.

I was using this product to act as a screen for my mashtun. It works wonderfully except I had to fold it up a bit. It's just slightly too long to fit in a 10 gallon round rubbermaid cooler.

As advertised this thing works great for whole hops but it does indeed get quickly clogged with pellet hops. The only other thing I don't like is it's in the way when I try to get a good whirlpool going. Easy enough to remove/swap...
