Although this carboy was smashed when it arrived I contacted the vendor and they promptly sent a replacement! Great customer service I will be back.

There is a plastic hex wrench made specifically for placement of the gasket and holding the nut while affixing the spigot. This wrench readily fits through the opening and is long enough to handle the three five and six gallon carboys.

This size jug is very handy for doing 6lb meads. However the spigot was not installed and no instructions on how to tighten the nut inside the jug since the opening is too narrow for one's hand and too deep for any conventional tool. Using various long lengths of wood I was able to put enough pressure against the nut inside to effectively tighten the spigot so the seal wouldn't leak. Also the description does not mention the size of stopper needed for holding an airlock.
