This obscure fitting was exactly what I needed to install an aftermarket fuel pump in my 1972 MGB. I needed the fitting to go from the metal pickup tube to a rubber fuel line. This did the trick. Although I am left wondering how you would use it in brewing.

I bought this to connect to my sparger wand. Note: the 1/4 in make barb on this is a really loose fit onto the 5/16 tubing. I had to really tighten the hose clamp to get it to be a snug fit and even then I am not sure I had a good seal as I went through a 20 cu ft tank in 2 uses. I ended up eliminating the quick couple by getting a connector with a 5/16 barb on both ends and connecting the sparger wand (after removing the female receiving end) straight to the gas line. Less worry and I have a tight seal with fewer pieces.
This is a very good product but a tad small for most uses. If you are trying to install a spigot you need a bigger bit. This only goes to .7 in and the spigot I got was 1 inch. It is very well made and will last a lifetime of drilling for stoppers and stuff.
Exactly what I needed. TIP - use a hex Allen wrench inside the fitting to tighten.
These hold my hi temp silicone hose securely to my quick disconnects during my brew session. They don't get hung up on or catch on anything. A cleaner look as well. I will be buying more as needed.
Looks like it only fits the stainless steel head. Too big around for the standard in line plastic head.
Better than what I currently have. Very simple to use and I like that it does not have a locking tab on it that you have to pull back to change the ball position.

After talking to customer service on how to "un-stick" the valve (spray silicone & brute force did the trick) it works perfectly. I attached it to the MKII pump used to recirculate my mash & my HLT. This allows easy control of hot liquids without risk of injury. Sparge water also cleans the valve. Great purchase for my purposes.
The only reason I purchased this was to use in with my recently acquired recirculation / Sparge arm. I found it to be easy and reliable. Now I contemplating switching all my quick disconnects to camlocks.

Got this with my Brewzilla and use it with my existing plate chiller and silicon tubing to chill my wort and transfer to the fermenter. Much faster to be able to use the pump on the Brewzilla.

I used to use hose clamps that had a screw which required a screwdriver to tighten. These clamps are so much easier to use since you can tighten them with your fingers. It might seem small but it’s less friction on my brew day.
Used this with DUO106 to replace 1/4" barbed fitting on Taprite regulator. Remove barbed fitting then Taprite>H853>DUO106. Used a little Teflon tape on H853 and scavenged o-ring from barbed fitting. Had to tighten down to o-ring for a good seal.
The screw and the material underneath the plastic are non-stainless metal and therefore corrode when exposed to cleaning products like PBW. Great for non-contact applications but choose appropriate cleaning agents.

I was able to join 5/16 gas line from my old regulator to a 5mm ID evanarrier tube. Tight fit for the 5mm but heating up in almost boiling water did the trick

Exactly what I needed for a water hose from the faucet to my counterflow chiller.
I use these fittings to vent 15-gallon kegs of white wine that I ferment in a freezer. I connect the fitting to an airlock to vent CO2 during fermentation. I also initially had problems with them breaking when I tightened the connection to a SS lid (similar to the fitting on this cellar keg https://morewinemaking.com/products/morewine-cellar-keg-50-liters.html but w/o the racking tube.). I found that by using the gray Teflon tape (which is thicker than the white) and wrapping the threads several times the seal could be easily made w/o overtightening the fitting.
I purchased this sight glass for my Berkey water filter so I could have a stainless steel spigot with a sight glass (seems they just started selling one but this one is cheaper AND more fun!). After some effort it's working great. This assembly includes the bulkhead fitting to cross from inside the tank to outside and unfortunately that fitting only includes one silicone gasket. One gasket is not enough to seal a tube from inside a tank to the outside unless the inside flange and the tube through the sidewall are a single unit and the threaded nut that provides clamping force against the sidewall is on the *outside* of the tank. This assembly is the reverse: the outside flange is a single unit with the tube and the clamping nut is on the inside. No amount of tightening will give a reliable seal here* it'll just ruin the soft silicone gasket. To reliably seal this assembly gaskets are necessary both inside and outside the sidewall. Well I swung by my hardware store and picked through their bins for a while and found two gaskets that would fit (the silicone one was a loss) and now it's working great. * For those who care this is because the thread used to clamp to the sidewall is a machine thread with a nut. It is not a plumbing thread which cannot be used with a nut and cannot be used to provide clamping force. This all makes good sense but the effect is that the thread does not seal perfectly: water creeps along the thread between the nut and the tube happily flows right through the center hole of the gasket through the sidewall and right out onto the countertop. Adding a second gasket on the outside resolves the issue as the water that makes it through the sidewall is trapped against the outside flange: there is no further thread to sneak along and the outer gasket seals the escapes along the tank sidewall or along the flange.
