Save water during the cooling process with our Super Efficient Immersion Wort Chiller. During the manufacturing process we build in an inner water turbulator that causes the cold water to spin through the coil. This reduces the laminar flow found in a standard wort chiller where only the outer water is cooled as it travels through the coil. The result is a 40% reduction in water, and faster cooling, when compared with our standard chillers.  But that is when we compare it to OUR standard chillers with the coils at the top. When you compare to other chillers on the market the results are even better.

ALL of our chillers feature coils that raised up to where the heat is.  As we learned in school heat rises so when other wort chillers have all the coils on the bottom they actually never cool unless you stir your wort. The problem with stirring is that you mix up all your trub/sediment and you risk airborne contamination... neither of which is good. Our chillers cool fast and allow you to keep your lid on your kettle during the critical cooling period.

Constructed from 25' of 3/8'' copper tubing. 8' of vinyl tubing attached to both the in and the out with a female garden hose fitting on the in side. Use our CE21S hose thread adaptor to attach to your sink. Perfect for a kitchen environment where the sink is close by.

This size chiller is ideal for our 8 Gallon Heavy Duty Kettles!

The measurements are: Approx. 10" diameter, 8" to the top coil, 15" to the bend to go over the lip of the kettle.

This immersion chiller effectively cools 5-gallon batches in 15-25 minutes. Customers said it "significantly decreased the chilling process" and is "well worth the investment." However, some noted hose clamps may need replacement, water usage concerns, and reduced efficiency over time. Performance varies with input water temperature.

Living in the LA area. I feel guilty about the the amount of water this uses. Think I will go back to an ice bath in the kitchen sink.

        Efficient Chiller

Does a great job of cooling wort down to acceptable pitch temperatures (approx 74 deg F) fairly quickly - provided the water going in is fairly cold. During the winter months there is no problem I am able to cool 5 gallons down in about 20 min. In the summer here in Texas I have to use a prechiller that is sitting in a cooler of ice water and even then it takes a bit longer (25 min) and the temp will only get down to about 78 deg. HIghly recommended just be aware of your input water temperature.

        Work fine

I've had this for so long forgot where I got it from till I looked at my Product Info page. After 5 years I might replace the hoses but other than that works great for the 5 gallon batches. I just bought a 15 gallon kettle for double batches and I'm guessing this is going to struggle to cool that down.

        Chill chiller

Works perfect can cool 5 gallons of wort in about 15min. Did need to tighten the clamps a bit after first 2 or 3 uses.

Works Great for a 1st Timer

It serves us well chills our wort and allows us to make beer in 2 hours instead of 5 hours. Well worth it! If we ever get our own place and can upgrade all of our equipment we might upgrade the chiller (and get a bigger brew pot) but again this totally serves us well for what we need.

        Good chiller. Not very sturdy.

Out of the box it was great! But it appears to be losing flow rate after 2 years. The flat plastic thread (proprietary water turbulation) running inside the coil appears to be bunching and slowing down the works making it lose efficiency. Hose clamps need constant readjustment. Losing shape (it is copper after all).

        Speed up your cold break!

I have used this chiller four times now and it does a great job of getting your wort temp down fast! It's well made and easy to use...well worth the investment if you're going to do a full five gallon boil!

        Works

This chiller has served me well and has significantly decreased the chilling process. However as another brewer mentioned the clamps leaked a bit. Once I replaced them it worked like a dream!

Chiller has served me well for years

As many home brewers I started brewing in the northern states and used the winter snow bank to set my boiler in to cool it down. This chiller was cool down step #2. It has worked well over the years and I still use it as a back up. I now use a plate chiller which is faster then the copper tubing chiller but I don't think I will ever get rid of this chiller. It is still in great shape after many years.

        bad clamps

the hose clamps are not will make. I had to replace both of them after the first use. The chiller did it's job after the clamps were replaced.

Just like the name says it : efficient

Got this in a "deal of the day" special. Works great. Simple of use. Chill 5-6 gallons from 100C to 22C in ~25 minutes. In summer when cold water is not as cold as it is in winter time. We go through a ice bucket with a pump. Chiller super easy to set up. Giving wort a stir does help but still you?ll get a very decent chill without having to spend big money and without having a plate chiller to rinse/wash like crazy every time. No beer/wort goes through chiller. Super easy to clean and/or sanitize. Great buy.

        Great Chiller

This is a great investment cuts wort chilling time down to 15-20 min while im cleaning up. It is better quality than other chillers I have seen fittings are tightly clamped and the supply/return lines are soldered together making it very sturdy. After a year+ of use its started to lose its shape a bit but still works great!

        Excellent chiller

My chill times are way down since taking the plunge and purchasing this chiller. Running a thermometer in the output hose will help to inform you as to the ideal flow (I go for hottest output). Also giving your wort a gentle stir will help speed things up.
