Vista is the latest public-bred variety released through the USDA public breeding program. This versatile hop offers brewers a fresh profile for various styles, from subtle lagers to aggressive IPAs. Previously named USDA Elite Line 074, Vista was selected from the Elite Line following enthusiastic brewer feedback at the 2019 Hopsource event, hosted by the Brewer's Association at Yakima Valley Hops. Its aroma profile is noted to contain tropical fruit, tangerine, melon, pear, and green tea. Vista is powerful enough to stand out in fruit-forward IPAs and Pale Ales, yet its refined character also makes it an excellent choice for adding complexity to lighter, more delicate styles like pilsners and lagers.
