I can't get White Labs liquid anymore as most of my homebrew shops closed. I also don't like US-05. I know 001 and 05 originated from the same strain but I have always felt 001 was much cleaner (personal preference). This dry yeast performs just as good as the liquid. Very happy with it!

I had shied away from dry yeasts since the 1990's as they often left an odd taste in my finished beer. Have been a big fan of WLP001 for 20 years at least. I decided to give the dry WLP001 a try as hot weather shipping even with the ice packs was a little dicey with the liquid yeast. I am happy to say the dry yeast ferments the same and had the same flavor profile. Bravo White Labs!
