Bottling Wine

At some point during the ageing process, whenever you like the way the wine tastes, it will be time to bottle. To bottle your wine, you will need wine corks, wine bottles, and a wine bottle corker. Getting the wine into the bottle can be as simple as: 1) creating a syphon using a racking cane, some tubing and a bottling wand, 2) using a gravity bottle filler (fed by a pump or gravity), or 3) using a vacuum pump to gently draw the wine into the bottles, as is the case with our Enolmatic wine bottle filler.

Once the wine is bottled, our wine bottle labeling machines and bottle dressing options will help you put the final touches on your masterpiece.

Complete information on bottling your wine can be found in our Red Winemaking and White Winemaking Manuals!

  • Siphon Starter Bulb for Gravity Bottle Fillers

Siphon Starter Bulb for Gravity Bottle Fillers

    5 reviews

Replacement siphon starter bulb for 3-spout and 5-spout bottle fillers. This is included in our WE602 and WE605 stainless steel bottle fillers, and can be purchased as an option upgrade for the WE604 painted filler. This siphon starter will save you a lot of hassle, and allow you to start a siphon in the fillers tubes while maintaining sanitary conditions.  The siphon starter features a food grade plastic bulb and tubing, and a black rubber "boot" that fits tightly around the end of the bottle filler tubes. To use: Connect your bottle filler to the wine source and allow the reservoir to fill. Sanitize the siphon starter, inside and out Squeeze the bulb to remove most of the air. Fit the rubber "boot' or base around the end of the bottle filler tube. The hole in the boot must line up with the hole where the wine will come out. Gently press down on the filler tube so that the gasket is not touching the inside wall. Slowly let go of the pressure on the bulb. The bulb will suck the air out of the tube, and wine will follow. Stop when you can hear or feel wine going into the bulb siphon starter. Repeat for each filler tube you would like to use. Wash, sanitize, and dry the siphon starter bulb before storage

  • Corks - 1 3/4" Grade 3-Plus (1000ct)

    Corks - 1 3/4" Grade 3 Plus (1000ct)

    4 reviews

Superior cork quality without Grade 1 or 2 pricing! These corks are identical to our standard Grade 3 cork product (W431), except that they have been sorted to a higher standard (US sorting). Our standard Grade 3 corks are assembled through what is called an "AC" sorting, the standard sorting and grading procedure for our cork supplier. To generate a "US" sorting, a standard lot of AC-sorted Grade 3 corks is re-sorted to remove the lowest quality 12% of the lot. As a result, this bag of corks is of generally higher quality and has less variation between the highest and lowest quality cork in the package. This package represents a higher level of quality without the huge jump in price that you would have to pay to move to Grade 2 or Grade 1 corks.

  • Corks - Synthetic Supercork (1000) 23x43mm

    Wine Corks - Synthetic Supercorks - 23x43 (1000ct)

    4 reviews

A synthetic cork with the ability to last 4 years plus. Supercorks are manufactured in Italy by Enolandia. One of the very first companies to make a synthetic cork, they have a history of quality since the 1980's. Supercorks have been tested to keep their elasticity and sealing integrity for at least four years. This makes them a nice alternative for winemakers who want to eliminate the potential issues of porosity or TCA contamination inherent in cheaper natural corks but also want the ability to age wine more than a few years. This cork measures 23x43mm. Product Specifications: Construction: Manufactured from recyclable thermoplastic high-tech materials Chemical details: Polietilene, Food pigments, Food expanders. Lubrication: Silico-paraffinic solution. No solvents. Preservation: Corks should be kept away from any possible contact with liquids and odors. Keep at temperature of 18-25° C especially in the summer season. Certification: Corks comply with antitoxic certificates from public authorities. Meets european standards and FDA. Follows CEE directive 85/572-89/109-90/128.

  • Corks - Belgian Corks - PLACEHOLDER

    Belgian Corks for Bottles

    25 reviews

Cork your homebrewed Belgian beers with these corks made specifically for use with Belgian beer bottles. Our brewery-grade (meaning these are the same quality corks that commercial breweries use) corks work well with our Floor Corker (W410). A hand corker will not work with these corks. A long-time customer - John Francisco - told us a tip that he uses when he corks his Belgian beers - put a #7 stopper (FE440) over the plunger rod of the corker so that only 1 3/4" of the rod is exposed. This will stop the cork from going into the bottle too far. A wire hood can then be fastened over the remaining 6/8" - 7/8" of cork sticking out of the bottle. We have tried this and it works great! Attention: These corks come sanitary in the bag ready to be corked into a bottle. Do not sanitize or boil these corks. If done so, you will ruin the integrity of the cork. 1 5/8" L x 1" D

Through a proprietary process there is a removal of all TCA, which is responsible for "cork taint".  Agglomerated corks are made from small cork pieces held together with a food grade binder. These corks are recommended for wines aged up to 3 years. The 22 mm diameter eases the corking process if using a hand corker. 24mm X 44mm, #9 x 1.75". Fits standard cork finish (neck) bottles. Italy produces more wine than any country in the world and Molinas is the largest Italian cork supplier with over 1 billion corks produced annually. Molinas Cork was started over 100 years ago by Pietro Molinas on the Italian island of Sardinia. Besides its beautiful beaches and designation as one of the world's five Blue Zones, Sardinia is known for its large, government protected Cork tree forests. Today, the 4th generation of the Molinas family sustainably harvests cork from these protected trees. Compared to most cork available in the market, the bark is allowed to mature an additional year. This leads to a less porous, higher quality cork, and has less impact on the forest. Throughout the entire process from tree to finished cork, quality control is strictly monitored. Corks - 1 3/4 Inch Grade 1 (1000ct)

Superior cork quality for those needing a little extra confidence for longer ageing! A standard length and diameter single punch cork in a high quality grading at a reasonable price. Corks are typically graded on a scale of 1-10, 1 being the best score, based on the degree of porousness that the actual punch of cork exhibits. Cork trees that show a higher population of worms or fungi tend to yield cork crops which are more porous. As a result, this bag of corks is of generally higher quality and has less variation between the highest and lowest quality cork in the package. These corks are harvested and punched in Portugal, like the majority of the rest of the corks available today. They are processed, sorted, prepped and packaged here in Northern California.

Microagglomerated corks are a great option for wineries looking for an easy to use TCA Free cork All natural cork is compressed using a food grade binding agent Easy application, elastic memory and an optimal seal 22mm X 38mm, #8 x 1.5" | Fits standard cork finish (neck) bottles Recommended when using a hand corker Recommended aging time: Up to 3 years Molinas Cork has been sustainabily harvesting from the cork forests of Sardinia for over 100 years Bark is aged an additional year prior to harvest, leading to less porous, higher quality cork These microagglomerated corks are a simple and high quality option for sealing your wine. 22mm X 38mm, #8 x 1.5". These are slightly smaller than your standard cork, which makes them our recommended cork when using a hand corker. Bottle Sealing Wax - Gold Beads

Bottle Sealing Wax is a sealing wax for any type of wine, liquor or bottled liquid. In all applications, Bottle Sealing Wax provides a tough, moisture resistant coating, which preserves freshness, flavor and fragrance. Bottle Sealing Wax adheres on both natural and synthetic corks. It provides tamper evident protection for your product. Bottle Sealing Wax can be applied by capping the top of the recessed cork or by dipping the corked bottle into the wax. Wax beads are easier to measure and melt than wax blocks. Sold in 1 pound bags and 50 pound boxes. 1 pound will cover approximately 30 bottles, depending on usage. DIPPING INSTRUCTIONS: The wax should be melted in a double boiled or crock pot. Maintain wax temperature at 180°F to 190°F. The ideal temperature may vary, depending on ambient temperature and humidity as well as the temperature of the bottle and cork. Invert the bottle and carefully lower the cork end into the melted wax to the desired depth. Leave the top immersed for 10 to 15 seconds. Carefully lift bottle straight up and allow the excess wax to run off the inverted bottle top. When excess wax slows or stops, turn bottle upright and allow to cool.

  • Corks - 1 3/4" Grade 2-Plus (1000ct)

    Corks - 1 3/4" Grade 2 Plus (1000ct)

    4 reviews

  • Enolmaster Vacuum Bottle Filler for Beer and Wine (4 Head) Enolmaster Vacuum Bottle Filler for Beer and Wine (4 Head)

Enolmaster Wine Bottle Filler (Vacuum Filler) - 4 Spout

    4 reviews

A commercial version of the Enolmatic filler that features four filling heads and allows you to fill up to 600 bottles per hour. This is the best bottle filler for the large-scale home winemaker or a small commercial operation. Through the use of a vacuum, the Enolmaster filler automatically starts a siphon, sucks the air out of your wine bottles to preserve freshness, and automatically shuts off when each bottle is filled to the perfect height every time. Not only does the entire process take place in a nearly oxygen-free environment, preserving the freshness of your wine, the rate of fill is extremely fast allowing you to bottle up to 600 bottles per hour. The Enolmaster creates a vacuum that sucks the wine directly from your fermenter, storage tank, or barrel, which can be located up to 12 feet below the Enolmaster. No need to start a siphon or to have to pump or move your wine above your filling machine. The vacuum simultaneously sucks the air out of your bottle allowing you to fill in a nearly oxygen-free bottle. This quality-first process helps to ensure that the delicate flavors of your wine, the flavors you worked so hard to get, are not lost in an open-air bottling process. Additionally, there are no moving parts in contact with the wine ensuring the gentlest handling possible. Fill speed can be adjusted allowing you to bottle at your preferred pace. While the filler is in operation, wine is not allowed back into the storage tank or barrel due to a one-way valve located in the supply line. The small amount of excess wine runs into a collection reservoir. The fill height can be adjusted and can be used with any size or type of bottle. The Enolmaster is a commercial product designed for a small winery. It has a continuous duty cycle, meaning it can run non-stop and is constructed entirely from food-grade materials. The frame is made of stainless steel as are the filling heads. Simply run water through the system to clean out the lines. The reservoir for excess overfill can be rinsed out or ran through the dishwasher. To filter your wine and bottle fill at the same time, add the optional in-line Tandem Professional Filter Housing and Filter Cartridges. Base and frame made from 304 stainless steel Fill nozzels made from 316 stainless steel Fill up to 600 x 750ml bottles per hour Made in Italy by Tenco Dimensions: 650m x 460mm x 450m Weight: 25 kg (55 lbs) Power: 110V / 60hz / 120W Fill bottles from 180 - 350 mm (7" - 13.75") in height Fits bottles with inner neck diameters of 16 - 28 mm (5/8"- 1.1")
