  • Inert Gas Bottle Sparger

    Inert Gas Bottle Sparger

    4 reviews

Keep your wine from oxidizing! This is one of the most prized possessions of our in-house wine maker. He uses Argon because of its high molecular weight, but CO2 will work. From extended macerations (he gasses before and after laying plastic wrap over the cap) to topping up storage tanks (he uses before setting the floating lid), this is a great way to make sure no excess oxygen is getting into your wine. This can also be used to purge any tank before filling with the wine. Designed to mate with an H550B Quick disconnect installed in the standing end of your 5/16" gas line (H550B and gas line not included).

  • Taprite Dual Gauge CO2 Regulator - Premium Taprite Dual Gauge CO2 Regulator - Premium

Taprite Dual Gauge CO2 Regulator | High Performance Primary Regulator | 0-50 PSI Working Pressure | CGA320 Inlet | One Way Shutoff Valve | 5/16" Barb Outlet

    103 reviews

The Taprite is our favorite dual-gauge regulator on the market. We've used them all and this unit represents the best quality at a great price. Key features are the easy hand adjusted pressure adjustment dial, barbed outlet, one way on/off valve, and built in tank connection gasket. Best of all is the consistent pressure regulation. With many regulators the pressure can 'creep' up over time. This unit is a rock. This is the T742HP model where the HP stands for high performance. Won't freeze up when multiple taps are running at once. The built-in gasket where the regulator connects to the CO2 tank, eliminates the constant replacement of fiber washers every time you change out your tank. The one way valve keeps beer from flowing back into the regulator when a keg happens to have more pressure than your regulator is pushing. Hand dial is easily turned to adjust pressure without the need for a screw driver. Optional available gauge cage is the best on the market. Low Pressure gauge reads from 0 to 60 psi. Built by Taprite, an American company. General Regulator Information A regulator controls the flow of CO2 gas that is under pressure. To ensure proper operation, please make sure that when in use your CO2 tank and regulator remain in an upright position. Do not physically modify the regulator in any way. Regulators work best at room temperature. If you use your regulator in the cold it will take up to 4 hours for the adjustment to register. For example: If you are at 10 PSI and you change the pressure to 12 PSI the regulator will move to 14 or 15 PSI over the next 4 hours. Once you have found the correct pressure the regulator will work perfectly fine but it will take some trial and error to get it adjusted. More Tips & Tricks: Are you out of CO2? When the needle reads half way in the red you are about 10% full. You should be able to push another 2-3gallons of beer when your at this amount of remaining gas. What is an ideal serving pressure? For most beers a pressure set at 10-12PSI is the sweet spot. Your beer has to be stored cold from 34-40F for this pressure to work properly. Is your beer serving a lot of foam? Don't panic this is not hard to fix. Your beer line must be 5-8 feet in length for this to work. Turn the black check valve to the close position (as pictured). Release the pressure from your keg's relief valve. Lower the pressure to 6-8psi by turning the flat head screw on the front of the regulator counter clock wise. Open the black check valve releasing CO2 to your keg. Try serving your beer. Is my beer over carbonated? Any beer that is stored under pressure above 12psi will become overcarbonated. If you're trying to speed up the process to carbonate your beer by raising your pressure anywhere from 15-20psi make sure you don't leave your beer at this pressure for more than 2-3 days. If you did this you will need to release all the pressure from the keg before serving and set your serving pressure at 4-6psi depending the carbonation of your beer. After a week you will have to raise your pressure back to the optimum 10-12psi serving pressure.

  • Slimline Torpedo Keg - PLACEHOLDER Slimline Torpedo Keg - PLACEHOLDER

Slimline Torpedo Keg | Ball Lock Keg | Stainless Steel Corny Keg

    1 review

Is the size you're looking for not available? See here for the Slimline Torpedo Keg with Low2 Oxygen Barrier O-ring.   Torpedo Kegs too wide? Want to squeeze another keg in your kegerator? The patented design, D794,899, of the new Slimline Torpedo Keg is 9% more slim than the classic model with all the same great features. Coming in at about 1/4" thinner than standard Ball Lock Cornelius Kegs, this keg has welded stainless handles and the ability to stack kegs with fittings still in place all at a great price.   Quality First Here at MoreBeer! we love nothing more than quality interior welds. We've spent a decade rejecting kegs made overseas because the interior welds have never met our standards. If a weld is not perfect and shows evident burn marks along with nooks and crannies it cannot be sanitized effectively. Torpedo kegs are machine welded and exceed our standards for quality. This weld quality is possible because these kegs are made by an ISO certified commercial keg manufacturer.   Cool Features Torpedo Kegs were designed to stack with Ball Lock quick disconnects in place and serving which is a cool feature for some brewers who have vertical space in their refrigerator. We also like the rolled stainless steel handles. They are comfortable to grab and will never come off like some rubber handles can over time. “In” and “Out” is etched near the keg posts for easy identification which is very handy when you are connecting lines in a refrigerator or kegerator and trying not to make a mistake.   Overall for the price and quality, along with free shipping from MoreBeer!, the Torpedo Keg is an amazing value!   Taking your keg on the go? • Diffusion Stone - 2 Micron (Oxygenation/Aeration)

Diffusion Stone - 2 Micron Oxygen Stone

    14 reviews

Use this 2 micron oxygen stone with an oxygen source or aeration pump to provide your yeast with oxygen before or during fermentation. Macro-oxygenation, or adding oxygen during the fermentation aids in promotion of yeast growth and general yeast health which results in stronger finishes and fuller flavored wines. In our experimentation, the oxygenation has helped to soften the wine by reducing the sensation of tannins, while simultaneously allowing more fruit to come through. Can also be used for degassing wine with nitrogen. Use with 1/4" ID tubing - D1702. Note: if you are using an aeration pump, we recommend a "deep water" type for aquariums, as these will have the necessary PSI to force the air through the stone and into the juice/must. You can learn more about the use of oxygen during fermentation by reading our Guide to Macro Oxygenation and Fermentation 316 Stainless 1/2" diameter. Stone is 1" in length. Overall length is 1 7/8" Sanitizing your Diffusion / Carb Stone: To properly prepare your stone for use, we recommend you boil the stone portion in water for 3-5 minutes. By heating the stone to boiling temperatures you kill all possible contaminants that may be hidden within the stones micro pores. Using a surface sanitizer is not a guarantee from contamination. Boiling also greatly reduces clogging issues by helping to remove sugar residue. If boiling is not an option, for whatever reason, we recommend the next best, soaking in Star San. Star San will remove a majority of surface contamination/bacteria, but will not sanitize the interior of the stone which may or may not be contaminated. Please note that you do not want to touch the stainless stone portion with your hands. The oils on your fingers can actually clog the small pores in the stone.

  • The OxyWand Oxygenation Kit (0.5 Micron) The OxyWand Oxygenation Kit (0.5 Micron)

    The OxyWand™ Oxygenation Kit - 0.5 Micron

    43 reviews

Use the OxyWand™ to infuse oxygen into your must during the start of fermentation to feed yeast and to reduce volatile sulfur compounds (VSC's) with a process called Macro Oxygenation. It is actually very easy to do. Insert the wand, turn on oxygen, and leave it on only while you punch the cap. After three days or when your wine has reached 10% alcohol stop oxygenating. Yeast use the oxygen as a nutrient to produce healthy cell walls which helps to eliminate issues throughout fermentation. Healthy yeast also produce better flavors and produce less Volatile Sulfur Compounds. You can also actually smell the must become fresher and more fruity while oxygenating as VSC's are driven off. Note that in styles like Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc where sulfur compounds are part of the flavor profile you would want to reduce the amount of Macro Oxygenation in frequency and/or duration. Macro Oxygenation also has the benefits of locking up color and rounding tannins.  Want to read more?  See our paper on our website at https://morewinemaking.com/articles/Macro_oxygenation_fermentation. • Cornelius Keg Lid (New) - Includes O-Ring Cornelius Keg Lid (New) - Includes O-Ring

    Cornelius Keg Lid (New)

    31 reviews

We love these keg lids as either a replacement or an upgrade to the stock lid featured on many homebrew kegs. Most homebrew kegs feature a straight, parallel bale that sits extemely close to the lid when in the closed position. So close that it can be hard to get a finger or two under the bale to open it. The arms on this lid bend outward creating a nice, easy-to-grip handle to open and close the bale. For use with Torpedo, Cornelius, and Firestone kegs. Comes with a pull-ring pressure relief valve and o-ring. PRV rated to 85 psi.

  • Nitrogen and Argon Tank 22 cu ft - KOMOS Nitrogen and Argon Tank 22 cu ft - KOMOS

KOMOS® 22 ft³ Nitrogen Tank | Argon Tank | Beer Gas Tank | Premium Aluminum | New | CGA580 Valve | US DOT Approved

Use Nitrogen or Argon for flushing tanks or pushing wine from kegs for topping up barrels or serving Perfect for serving still wine, cold brew coffee, Sangria and premixed cocktails on draft Can be filled with Nitrogen, Argon, or Beer Gas Mix Brand new, high-strength aluminum tank with CGA580 valve Ships empty—fill at a welding shop or swap at your local beer & winemaking supply store Brand new aluminum 22 cubic feet Nitrogen tank made from high strength aluminum alloy and high quality CGA580 valves. Because it is made of aluminum rather than steel you can feel confident that it won’t rust. This is the tank you need for flushing vessels or pushing wine from kegs using either Nitrogen or Argon. Gas flushing is a very useful process for giving added protection to wines by helping to minimize contact with oxygen in your storage containers. Also, wine stored in kegs for either topping up barrels or for serving should be pushed with Nitrogen or Argon rather than CO2 to prevent adding carbonation to your wine (unless you want all your wines to be sparklers!). Generally speaking, we recommend using Argon instead of Nitrogen around your winery, mainly because it is denser than air and so is much more effective when it comes to flushing vessels. Though it is more expensive than Nitrogen, we feel that the added expense is worth it when it comes to protecting our wines. Aluminum tanks are superior to steel because they do not rust. All tanks are shipped empty. To have tanks filled you will want to visit your local welding supply shop. Because you are purchasing a new tank you can choose to either have it filled or to exchange it for a filled tank at your local gas supplier. If you have this tank filled the local gas supplier is responsible for affixing the correct neck label that identifies the gas being put in the cylinder. Tanks should always be stored in an upright position. Features: Made from corrosion resistant, engineered Aluminum Brushed finish Thick, durable cylinder walls DOT approved New high quality CGA-580 valve Light weight compared to steel tanks Rated to 2216 PSI service / 3360 PSI test pressure PSI (allowing for Nitrogen fill) Can also be filled with Argon or Beer Gas Mix (Nitrogen/CO2) NOTE: You will need at Nitrogen/Argon Regulator to go with this tank, a standard CO2 regulator will not work.

    $109.99

Kegging wine can be beneficial in a few different ways! Not only can you serve your wine out of kegs, which is becoming more popular, but kegs can also be used for quickly and easily topping up barrels, blending wines, or stainless steel storage & aging.
