Works like a champ. Some important things to note that may assist you are: 1.) If you plan to mash your grains in it then buy the BE504G2 DigiMash Upgrade Kit for 35L DigiBoil | Gen 2. This piece is awesome because you lift it up and it sits on metal while draining. No need for a pully circular drain grate or mesh bag. 2.) The digital temperature seems fluctuate 1 or 2 degrees so if your target heat is 148 then I'd set it to 150. Also the system heats up in no time when compared to other methods (propane tank and flame). 3.) Easy to clean and the glass top is nice. Just don't leave the glass top on while heating because while it does retain heat the liquid starts to foam to the point of spill over.

Received our second unit and in the year and a half since we purchased the first one someone decided to change the lid from metal with a plastic handle (no burn hazard from lifting the lid) to a heavier glass lid with a metal handle (read burn hazard and potentially glass cutting issue when the lid will fall and shatter). Probably not the greatest idea in switching materials. I'm sure the main unit will work just fine. However just not pleased about the lid change. Trying to scour the internet for a an original lid to no avail.

I have used my Digiboil for 2 batches so far and could not be more pleased. I use it to heat the mash water and sparge water. I mash in a 10 gallon cooler. Then I use it as a brew pot. With the insulating jacket it takes 45 minutes to heat the mash water 45 minutes to heat the sparge water and about an hour to reach a boil. The boil is more than vigorous enough. You have to watch carefully when you near a boil to prevent a boil over. I had to remove the lid and turn off the 500 watt element to prevent a boil over. The Digiboil cleans easy especially with a hops spider. My only complaint is that it defaults to Celsius every time you turn it on.

I love the Digiboil. It’s a perfect Hot Liquor Tank that has my sparge water ready to go at the perfect temperature for mashout when I need it. I kick the Digiboil on when I start my mash and then can depend on it reaching sparge temperature and holding there until I am ready to draw a few gallons to wash all that sugar wonderfullness from my grains! Sure beats chasing a stovetop kettle with a thermometer- here I just set and forget.

this was the best investment that I made for my business. Saves me so much time melting my wax and I can do larger quantities now.

Solid for my uses so far

My first DigiBoil lasted a little over a year before the bottom caved and it started leaking. I quickly purchased another and modified it so that wouldn't happen in the future. My old one is still fully functional after modifying it as well with some good ole JB Weld SteelStik. Now I have another melter as a backup in case something happens.

The digiboil kettle is great for heating up the water and maintaining temp. I do notice inconsistency between temp at bottom and top of kettle. I'm sure that the insulating blanket helps to maintain. I choose to cycle water from the tap and pour back into the top to help equalize temp throughout.

I use this as a Mash Tun for 5 gallon batches. Easy to set up easy to use easy to clean holds temperatures pretty well. What more could you ask for. I ordered a 2nd unit to use as a HLT.

I like the control you have with the temp and at that price I should have bought 2.

Works as advertized but over-priced IMO.

the nice machine only falls back to my process (melting wax) is you get an error code till the wax melts enough to cover the sensor (I melt blocks of wax) if it was flakes pellets etc they would cover the sensor on you wouldn't get the code right away. the sensor is so you don't boil dry.

Love! Perfect for melting large amounts of wax. Total game changer for my business.

Very accurate great for sparging

Received the package with no dents or dings. I didnt do an all grain brew so I have no idea how that would turn out but im sure it would be fine. Started up my first brew and threw in my extract. Right after that I got Error Code 3 which scared me pretty bad. Then I realized I probably didn't stir the extract in well enough and yep that was it. I scraped the burnt stuff off the bottom (with a rubber spatula of course) and the error code went away after resetting it. One thing I did notice during the boil though is the temp only got up to 106. It boiled pretty well but that caught me a bit offguard. Finished up my brew and I love where the spout placement is. In the perfect spot so you don't get all the gunk at the bottom of the kettle. Overall great product based on price and my first experience. Would recommend.

I bought this along with my MoreBeer Premium Homebrew Kit because at the time the electric kit wasn't available and I don't have the capability of doing a full boil with our kitchen's electric stove. I could use a propane burner but where I live there's just too many bugs outside to risk contamination. My only challenge with this unit is using liquid malt extracts as it has a tendency to throw an error if any ends up going to the bottom and burning. So whenever possible I go with DME. It takes a while to achieve a rolling boil but it gets there in reasonable time and does the job. I will eventually try all grain brewing in it and see how that goes. All in all a good purchase.

Great way to make boil wort makes life easier no more boil overs on the kitchen stove. I Iuse silicone tubing to transfer to the fermenter after boil.

If you’re looking for a hands down simplest low cost 120V electric biab kettle this is it. I have brewed a few times with it now with no issues.

The Digiboil is becoming so popular among candle business makers and owners. I have my own candle business and hand pour all of my soy candles. My business is growing and the need to make at least 200 candles per show is increasing. I heard about the Digiboil and ordered it. It arrived so quickly and in perfect condition. It was packaged extremely well with everything inside. My husband used some pipe threading tape on the valve to ensure it would be free of any leaks. I am able to put my entire box of soy wax flakes in here (about 45 lbs). I made 38 two wick tin candles in one day! It used to take me a week of evenings after work to make that quantity before! Love it so much that I posted to a Candlemaker's group on Facebook and spread the word. So many went on and ordered after my post with these photos that More Beer sold out! I love this company too! I am ordering 2 more after having so much success using it to melt my wax for my candle brand. It displays an error because its not designed for wax but it switches back to the normal screen and will continue to heat to the desired temperature and melt the wax! Great product and great price

Haven't got to use it yet I've had a couple eye surgeries last couple weeks and but one thing I can say is I am really impressed with you guys at more flavor everything that I've ordered his come really fast you guys are great
