Better and fastest than by hand but you should plan to lose 15-20% of your actual grape crop. More if your grapes are small clusters. Also plan on having 20-30% stems and whatever else’s [is in there] get dumped into the crush… You will also need to pick up a lot of the stems by hand because the shoot is pretty much worthless. You might want to invest in something a little more well engineered (w/ friends or something). I wish I had….

Love this product! For 2 years 12 of us sat around tables pulling grapes off of stems for 3 days... Now with the vines fully mature and 5x more we are done in less than an hour! Completely worth the investment! 5 years with this item and no paint peeling or rust anywhere.

I special ordered one of these for a customer who has a small vinyard. After the harvest season the customer made a special trip to my shop to rave about how much work this unit saved him compared to the previous year. It is well built and it impressed me when it arrived.
