I am not familiar with the internal parts of the gas and beverage quick disconnects. I do know that they are not interchangeable. I have mistakenly switched them and they are very difficult if not impossible to remove without damage.

Gas in and liquid out posts are not interchangeable. While their poppet internals are the posts have different diameters and will not work with a mismatched quick disconnect. You can tell the posts apart by the notches along the base. The post with the notched base is the gas post. The post without a notched base is your liquid post.

Same internals. They fit slightly different. Not enough to keep it from installing onto ball lock post but enough to make removal very difficult. That is why non metal ones may be a better choice due to color difference. I use the stainless for transfer of beer and purging starsan to eliminate O2 from kegs as they dont mind the 10 minute steam dissinfecting

The liquid out (black ring) disconnects are machined differently inside. The gas in (white ring) disconnects are just a little bit smaller and won’t physically connect to the liquid post.

Yes these do disassemble so you can clean and sanitize the internal parts.

Yes they are disassembled like the plastic ones the knurled areas are for grasping with a pliers or such. Poppets and gaskets can be removed and soaked/cleaned.

These easily disassemble and are easily cleaned and sanitized.

Yes u can disassemble them. U need to use food grade look to push them on the keg. They are tight but I wouldn't use plastic again

They disassemble. A 9/16 inch wrench on top and hold the straight knurled part in the middle(by hand or pliers). Very good product.

I've never disassembled these or plastic ball locks. My routine cleaning is to run solutions of brewer's wash then sanitizer followed by idiophore while connected to the posts. This also cleans the dip tubes at the same time. I've never had to soak but that would be an option too. Very satisfied with the seal durability & sanitation of these ball locks.

I've never tried to boil this part. I have sprayed with StarSan and with Iodophor without any issues. The StarSan also helps with seating on the keg and with helping locate any tiny gas leaks.

I can't directly answer that but I'm curious why you would want to do that? If anything maybe don't hit boil but raise to 180? I love this these I just run them through normal three step cleaning like any other equipment.

I wouldn't you might melt the seal. i use PBW and star san never had a problem.
