    • Use your existing glycol system to cool your cellar
    • Eliminates the need to purchase an entirely separate refrigeration system
    • SD-S series fan units were designed specifically for high-moisture environments like wine cellars
    • Sized for well-insulated rooms up to 17,500 ft³
    • Made in Germany by Kreyer

Cool your cellar using your existing glycol system. Save energy and money! These units work under the same principles as standard refrigeration but use cooled glycol that you already have instead of cooled refrigerant gas, eliminating the need to have a separate refrigeration system. It is a fantastic use of your glycol system for a majority of the year when typically glycol systems are on but are being sporadically called upon. Glycol systems do need to be sized to accommodate both these fan units and peak duty during the crush to be able to accommodate all tasks at once.

Glycol from your main glycol chiller is recirculated through these fan units. Aluminum fins act as heat exchangers drawing heat out of your room as the fins are cooled by the glycol. If you have a Kreyer chiller/heater you can even heat a space in cold weather environments.

The heat exchangers inside the units are made from corrugated aluminum fins and internally grooved copper tubes. The white ABS casing looks great. Because of its rounded corners it has no water retaining areas favorable to germ development. Both series are fitted with stainless steel screws and show no sharp, cutting edges.

The SD-S series has been designed especially for problematic environments such as wine-cellars with high moisture. The high-performance fans on the SD-S unit are lubricated for life.

The SD-S 35 is sized to:
Cool a room up to 17,500 when the ceiling and walls are well insulated. Cooling a room this size from 90F to 60F will use approximately 1.05 tons of cooling power from your chilling system. If the room is half insulated you will need approximately 50% more power or 1.6 tons of cooling power. Once you've achieved the desired temperature it takes considerably less power to maintain it.

    Fan Unit Temp Control Upgrades:

    • 3/4 in. Solenoid Valve - Allows or blocks flow of glycol through the fan unit. Needs to be connected to a Controller to function. A filter is recommended to protect the solenoid.
    • 3/4 in. Solenoid Filter- protects the solenoid valve from any particulate or sediment.
    • Glycol Fan Control Unit - Set a specific temperature on this controller and it will open and close the solenoid valve.
    • Solenoid Connection Cable - This 2 meter long cable is required to connect the Solenoid Valve & Control unit.

Inlet and Outlet: 3/4" Male BSP

Please Note: This unit only has one fan. The weight shown below is for shipping purposes, as this item ships at an oversize rate with UPS Ground. Actual weight of the fan is about 35lb. Actual Dimensions are 710x410x460mm

        Works Great!

The Glycol Chiller Adapter has worked great with my Grainfather GC2 I'm using it on a Brewtools Miniuni 30+. I mounted the heat pad on the bottom and it works well it will easily heat 6 gallons to about 20 degrees above room temperature.

        A uniquely capable temp controller

The obvious question: Why spent this kind of money on a temp controller when you can get a $40 Inkbird? Answer: Programmability I wanted something where I could have very slow gradual cooling of my lagers. This guy does it well and not sure what else out there can do this at a consumer price point. Remote access via the web is a nice plus many other bells & whistles to geek out on if that's your thing. I don't care about integration (or lack thereof) with other KegLand products so that's a non-issue. Software is a bit buggy at times but is well supported and firmware updates are occasionally rolled out. If you want to do something more than just hold a fixed temp or cold-crash this is your unit.

        Does what its supposed to

I connected this to my inkbird and it's working great. The velcro strap lasted for 1 batch so keep some bungy chords handy.

This has changed my brew days!

I don't have a chiller yet and I only recently got a pump. Why did I buy this? Well I wanted the option to cool when I expand my operation later. Most importantly though I wanted to transfer wort straight from the boil to the fermenter and cool in the fermenter prior to pitching. This works great! An added benefit is just post-boil I can do a whirlpool prior to transfer and leave 99% of my trub behind! Try that with an immersion chiller! I have 2 mini Brew Buckets and if I'm doing 2 different brews (which is normal on a brew day) I can cool one pop this off and the other lid on then swap this over to the other bucket and cool that too! I'm sure I'll get another when I get a chiller but for my application one is working great!

        high temp shutoff?

First use with beer after "testing" with water. Had set high temp cuttoff at 68F with +- set at 1F. Woke up to fermentation temp of 75F (no longer heating anyway) Air temp in room never got above 70F. Will have to see where it stabilizes today but a little dissapointed so far.

Great stuff but 1/2 gal packaging would be awesome.

It would be nice to have smaller packaging (at a lower price point) since you dilute the PG with water and a gallon of 100% PG will give you many fills if you use a Brewbuilt Icemaster 2 glycol chiller and a Brewbuilt X2 jacket conical (I have a 14 gal model). That said the quality of the glycol appears excellent and provides the ability to chill the glycol/water mix to a low temp for cold-crashing at the end of fermentation.

        Great accessory

I'm almost finished brewing a Best Bitter using this to control the temperature and it is working great! Another great product at a great price.

        Plug and Play

I like the idea of having heating and cooling in 1 unit. I still need to check the accuracy of this since it appears to be a different reading than my Thermapen Mk4

        Very good!

This is well made and performs perfectly. My only complain it minor. It does not fit snuggly around a glass carboy. But it is easily remedied with Duct tape.

Awesome product paired with a temp controller.

This fermwrap has been exceptional at keeping my fermentation temps where they need to be. Paired with an Inkbird controller thermowell and sitting in a mini fridge I am able to dial in my temps +\- 1 degree.

        So Far it's great

I have to do my stuff in a garage and in Colorado the temperatures in the winter are too conducive to fermentation. I've had aa 5 Gal glass carboy fermenting for over a month now and it still isn't complete. I put this on about 3 days ago and the fermentation picked back up and I may be done with this batch in a couple of days.

        Holds temperature well.

It seems to work well enough. The only issue I have is that it doesn't come with anything to hold it on the vessel. Since it doesn't wrap all the way around it could use some sort of strap.

        Works well little flimsy

Works perfectly with our new bung and temp controller and thermowell. We have a much better control of our fermentation temperature. Would purchase again but it does seem a little flimsy so I’m not sure how long it will last. We currently have it keeping our Lambic Ale at then proper fermentation temperature.

        Great temp controller

So far i really like this controller. Has a plug for a heater and a cooler. It’s winter in CO right now so we’re only using the heater plug. Works perfectly with our new bung thermowell and heater. We have a much better control of our fermentation temperature. Would purchase again. Very easy to use and set up with good instructions.

I am a bit disappointed with the heater but it is my own fault. I assumed the heater would be thermostaticly controlled it is not. Apartrom that it works great I just have to keep an eye on it.

Decent considering the low price but…

I’m not sure if there’s a way they could have designed this differently because a bung is only so big but due to the shape of the cooling parts and the hole configuration punched into the stopper you are limited to s-type air locks or a blowoff tube only. 3-piece air locks (which are my preferred kind) don’t fit this very well unfortunately. Aside from that it’s really a decent deal for the price which saves you a bit of hunting and pecking for DIY piecemeal solutions which would do the same exact job but of course require more work and planning. So there’s the trade off. Worth it in my opinion.
