Plastic Pressure Kit for FermZilla

    Description

Unlock the FermZilla's true potential with the FermZilla Pressure Kit. This will enable fermenting under pressure, carbonating, and serving without ever needing to move beer out of the fermenter. The kit inlcudes two plastic female threaded ball lock fittings with barbs, which thread onto the existing openings atop the FermZilla's lid. A silicone dip tube with stainless steel float work as the beverage out, allowing only the clearest beer from top of the tank to be dispensed. The Pressure Kit will turn the FermZilla into a true unitank!

Includes one red and one yellow ball lock cap to help differentiate which one is being used for liquid and which one for gas. Either color can be used for either function.

The silicone dip tube is 31" long. It will work perfectly as is for the 55L FermZilla. For the 27L model we recommend cutting the dip tube shorter to remove unwanted slack.

With the optional Floating Dip Tube Filter, you can prevent hop material and other solids from ever entering the dip tube. Especially handy when you're pulling samples mid-fermentation!

    Key Features:

    • Ferment beer under pressure to reduce ester and fusel alcohol production
    • Always draw clear beer with the floating dip tube
    • Keg beer that has already been carbonated
    • Use CO2 to push beer into a keg or through a filter into a keg
    • Eliminate kegging altogether by carbonating and serving directly from the FermZilla

Installation Note: For best performance, ensure there is not an excess amount of slack when the silicone dip tube is installed and shorten it if needed. With the floating dip tube installed on your empty FermZilla, you ideally want the dip tube to hang freely with just enough length for the end of the dup tube to touch the bottom of the tank.

Please note: pressure kit does not include the lid pictured in the example photo. The ball locks and floating dip tube are installed on the FermZilla's existing lid.

        Good product

Does what it's supposed to do. You just have to trim the hose down if you have the 7 gallon fermenter.

Great product but it needs a little work.

The stainless pickup tube tends to stick up out of the beer and draw CO2 instead of beer. After reading the homebrew forums I found out this is a common problem that can be remedied by adding stainless washers or nuts to the tube before sliding on the silicone tubing. The manufacturer needs to fix this! I'd rate it 5 stars if it worked correctly without modification.

        Better than Stainless

Sounds silly right? But the stainless caps are crazy difficult to disassemble for cleaning and tend to be more fiddly to seal against leakage. These are easy to disassemble and clean work well and fit both gas and liquid connectors. I use stainless for gas connection and plastic for the CO2/Liquid connection on my pressure fermenters. No confusion when taking a pressure reading or connecting a liquid line . . . .
