This gasket will stand up to the heat for a long while provided the flames don't lick it directly for too long on a given day. It is made of a soft silicone rubber that can withstand temperatures over 400 degrees momentarily however continued exposure will eventually cause it to char and potentially dry out.

It's the best that I have used. I use Keggles from sanke kegs that are drilled.

Yes it can but you will need to replace it at some point. Until a month ago a 2 year time frame so far i put a gasket on the inside and outside. The outside one has a little char on it but is still holding up just fine. But if it’s being installed onto a kettle with metal walls then honestly it’s more stable with one on the inside and seals great

Jared I’ve used this on my 15 gal keggles with no issues. It might break down over time of course but I’ve used it probably 10 times or so. No problems. Hope that helps you a bit. Good luck.

Mine has done just fine I place a small square of sheet metal just under the pot that sticks out 4” to make a heat sheld protect it flames and intense heat I also do the same for my thermometer. Hope this helps Bob D
