Steam Condenser Set | 2 in. T.C. | BrewZilla | DigiBoil
Made from high quality 304 Stainless Steel, this condenser lid is ideal for apartment or basement brewers who struggle managing steam and condensation during brewday. Easy to use and assemble, can be used with a wide range of configurations. Comes with removable end cap for adding hops, yeast nutrient or whirlfloc during the boil. (Use gloves, it will be hot!). This steam condenser set can be compatible with the 35L or 65L BrewZilla/DigiBoil with the stainless distillation lid and 2 Inch Bulkhead. This unit can allow brewing indoors without that pesky sticky steam gumming up your freshly painted interior! The End Cap can be removed for brewing salts/hops and other brewing essentials to be added during the boil. Please note hot steam through this port can lead to serious scalding, please use heatproof gloves. With the new Pro Distillation Lid, the condenser can be attached directly to the 35L unit's 2" T.C. ferrule or to the 65L unit's 4" T.C. ferrule using a 4" x 2" T.C. reducer. The Pro Distillation Lid also features a 3" sight glass disc that can be removed to address foaming issues or to add hops or other boil additions. Not only will you get to the boil faster, but you will use less power overall to maintain a rolling boil as there will be less area for the heat to escape. No need to install inside a kitchen, or in the garage with a special range hood. Simply attach this to the Condenser Lid and run your kitchen tap or garden hose to the Duotight-compatible inlet. You don't not need super-fast flow rate to cool boiling steam into liquid. Different to distillation where you require the distillate to be under a certain temperature so that ethanol doesn't evaporate from the liquid at a high rate, with boiling wort you just need enough to form a liquid! Pretty simple. Eco-Friendly option if you have the means to save/collect the coolant water. Can be re-used on the garden or for cleaning later on. Please note the water discharging will be very hot! The Spray head can condense 0.42 gal (1.6 L) per minute while connected to 100 psi mains water. Caution: You will need to remove the Steam Condenser when you reach boil to manage the hot break and ensure you don't have a boil over when you reach boiling temperatures. Once you've completed that step, you can reattach the Condenser and leave it in place for the remainder of the boil. Warning: It is important that the output tube for this steam condenser is open to atmosphere. This will allow the condensed steam to exit freely. DO NOT put a valve on the liquid output or restrict the condensed steam in any way as this may cause your brewery to develop vacuum and implode or explode. DO NOT immerse the tube for the condensed steam in water. The outlet hose must be open to atmosphere and the drips of condensed steam must drip into your collection bucket freely. Replacement PET Tank for the 55L Tri-Conical FermZilla with tri-clamp bottom port. Normal wear and tear may lead to stress marks or other potential points of failure when the tank is used under pressure. We recommend visually inspecting the unit for signs of wear every 6-12 months, and conducting a hydro test every 2 years. The hydro test process is simple: Fill the tank to the brim with water Replace the Red PRV with a Green PRV rated to 4.5 BAR or higher Pressurize the tank to 4 BAR (58 psi) Check for leaks, then replace the Red PRV when finished If leaks or potential points of failure are found, replace the tank before you continue using pressure with your FermZilla. In general, we do not recommend leaving products like PBW or StarSan soaking in the tank for more than an hour. Extended soaks have the potential to degrade the PET material and shorten the lifespan of the tank. KegLand Part Number: KL28257 NOTE: FermZilla tanks are marked with a manufacturer’s “expiry date”. This does not indicate that the tank is bad after this date; it simply indicates that a hydro test may be in order. 2 years after production and every 2 years after first use, it is recommended that the tank be hydro tested to ensure the tank is holding pressure. Upgrade your FermZilla Conical or All Rounder with the new 2" Tri-Clamp Lid from KegLand. Add yeast, hops or even take samples from a wine thief from the top and not have to remove the entire lid. This particular lid was designed in order to suit a growing number of customers desire to dry hop without exposing the batch to oxygen from opening the lid. By using this lid in conjunction with the FermZilla 2" Butterfly Valve and Hop Bong Kit, you will be able to purge CO2 into the tube and expel all the oxygen inside it and dump freely into the vessel. Hop Bong Sight Glass - 2 in. T.C.
The Hop Bong is a versatile pressurizable tri-clamp accessory, capable of not only dry hopping oxygen purged hops into fermenters, but also as an inline carbonation/oxygenation accessory. This particular sized tri-clamp Hop Bong was designed for the FermZilla Tri-Conical and All Rounder fermenters with the new Tri-Clamp Adapted Pressure Lid. It can also be adapted to any 2" T.C. port in your system to use either inline or as a dry hopping device. The side port features PCO1881 male threads so you have the option to add a Ball Lock Cap. When used as a dry hopping device on top of your fermenter, this will allow you to purge your additions of oxygen by flushing them with CO2. When used as a sight glass below your fermenter, bubble CO2 from the bottom up via the Ball Lock Cap to rouse hops or carbonate finished beer.
