Dual purpose hops popularly used in American styles including Pale Ales and West Coast IPAs Aroma Profile: Citrus, Tropical, Floral, Grapefruit, Grassy, Herbal, Pine Alpha Acids: 4.5 – 7.0% Whole cone hops are often preferred for dry hopping as they maintain contact while floating in the beer and are easier to remove Adding whole cone hops directly to the mash tun is a great way to add flavor and help clarify wort Cascade is the classic American hop that really started the hop craze. Defined by its citrus, and often more specifically, grapefruit flavor it is now sought out around the World. It is a true dual-purpose hop that can be used for bittering, at the end of the boil, or the fermenter. Used in so many craft brewed pale ales, but none more famous than Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale. You cannot go wrong using Cascade in all kinds of American style ales. Whole cone hops are typically the preferred format for dry hopping as they maintain contact with the beer by floating, they are easier to remove than pellets and they add a unique character to the beer. Adding whole hop cones directly to the mash tun is also a great way to add an extra layer of hop flavor and to clarify your wort as it filters through the flowers. • WineStix - Dark Toast French Oak Tank Stave WineStix - Dark Toast French Oak Tank Stave

WineStix - Dark Toast French Oak Tank Stave

WineStix are a new form of oak integration for wine, designed to give new barrel flavors with an extraction time similar to cubes. The combination of Short and Long grains result in amazing gradience of flavor similar to barrels, while extracting significantly quicker! These are Dark toast French Oak Tank Staves from the Allier forest, and depending on the wine, will impart flavors of dark coffee, some carmelized sweetness, and a roasty smokey character that will compliment big blockbuster varietals. The French Oak Tank Staves are sized to provide New Barrel flavor to a 60 gallon lot of wine. Doing more than 60 gallons? Simply toss in another stave! Another advantage of the WineStix over traditional staves is that these will not stick together like flat staves would, the cross-hatch pattern will result in consistent extraction throughout the life of these. These can also be cut down if necessary to dose a smaller batch of wine.   4" W x 37" Long

  • Wine Kit - VineCo - Signature Series - Chardonnay, California Wine Kit - VineCo - Signature Series - Chardonnay, California

California Chardonnay Wine Making Kit - VineCo Signature Series™

    2 reviews

Californian Chardonnay is a popular choice for everyday enjoyment; light and refreshing Equally enjoyed on a weeknight after a long day of work or on a weekend afternoon next to the grill Flavors of yellow apple, lemon, pineapple, and peach Dry with medium-full body, 13.5% ABV Whip up a batch in 30 mins or less! Yields 6 gallons (2 cases) of finished wine in 6-8 weeks Bottle labels included for a professional finish Originating in the Burgundy region of France, in such famous appellations as Montrachet, Meursault, Poilly-Fuisse and Chablis, Chardonnay is now the most popular white wine style in the world. Chardonnay thrives in a wide range of soils and weather climates from France to Australia. Winemakers love Chardonnay because it produces such a wide range of complex, flavorful wines. From fruit forward and crisp, to lean and minerally, to hedonistic, rich, and oaky, no wine sparks as much stylistic debate as Chardonnay. California Chardonnay offers a full spectrum of expressions, as the grape is widely grown throughout the state from the warmer climate of the Central Valley to the cool, foggy hills near the Pacific coast. Traditionally, California Chardonnay is assumed to be full-bodied with a buttery texture and prominent oak character. But more modern approaches produce examples that have little to no oak character at all and can range from bright and fruity to soft and earthy. Our California Chardonnay is fruit forward, with no oak, and features flavors of apple, pear and apricot. With an alcohol level of 12.5% this is a Chardonnay with a dry finish and a medium body. Easy to drink and appreciated by nearly every wine lover. The VineCo Signature Chardonnay is the perfect everyday wine to unwind with after work. There is something calming about a glass of this shimmering gold liquid resting on your kitchen counter while you make dinner. Or pull a cork at the next weekend bbq and share with friends. It’s always time for Chardonnay. • ForgeFit - 2 in. T.C. Rotating Racking Arm ForgeFit - 2 in. T.C. Rotating Racking Arm

    ForgeFit® Stainless Tri-Clamp Rotating Racking Arm | 2"

    1 review

Stop leaving clean, perfectly good, wine or beer in your tank and always drain from the perfect height with our tri-clover style rotating racking arms. Remove your existing tri-clamp butterfly valve and place this rotating racking arm between the tank and your valve. When it is time to rack off slightly loosen the clamp nearest the tank and use the built-in handle to rotate to just about the lees level. A white rotatable gasket is placed between the welded in tank fitting and this rotating arm. Because the micro finish of the gasket is hard and slippery it allows the rotating arm to rotate in place. A standard black EPDM gasket is placed between the rotating arm and the butterfly valve and is always kept completely tightened. The length of the arm after the elbow is 14" allowing you to draw from roughly 10" above or below the valve level. The arm measures 13.5" from the TC fitting to the elbow. We suggest you assemble the rotating arm and butterfly valve in such a way that the arm is pointed in the same direction as the handle on your butterfly valve. In this manner you always know how the racking arm is positioned in your tank. Manufactured from 304-type stainless steel with a polished finish. 2" tri-clover connection.

  • Bottle Caps - Orange - PLACEHOLDER

    Orange Oxygen Absorbing Bottle Caps

    1 review

These Oxygen Absorbing beer bottle caps have a special liner that absorbs oxygen in the bottle's head space. This helps reduce the oxidation that happens during the bottling process, keeps your home brewed beer tasting fresher, and can extend it's shelf life. Important to note: It is recommended that you only sanitize as many caps as you'll require at the time of bottling. The oxygen-absorbing agent is activated when the cap gets wet. If wetted caps are saved for later use, they'll still function as a normal cap, but the oxygen absorbing agent may be depleted.

    Foam Control (FermCap S)

    100 reviews

Eliminate the head on fermenting beer and brew a larger quantity in your existing fermenter. Foam control - also known as FermCapS - does not affect the head on your finished beer, but can actually increase the head by retaining head-forming compounds that would have been blown off during ferment. It will settle-out of beer before bottling or kegging as it is actually absorbed onto the surface of the yeast cells and filter media. Add two drops per gallon at start of fermentation. Comes packaged in a very handy eye dropper bottle that allows for easy use. 1 oz is good for about 50 x 5-gallon batches of beer. Also available in bulk 1 gallon size. Note: Keeps best when stored in the refrigerator. Like Foam Control (FermCap S)? Then you will love CellarScience® Foam Axe - Anti Foaming Agent!

    Carapils Malt - Briess Malting

    1 review

1.7 °L - Briess Malting - Carapils adds body, mouthfeel and improves head retention by adding dextrines, proteins, non-starch polysaccharides, and other body-building compounds into your wort. Carapils is usually used at a level of 5% or less of your total all-grain malt bill. However it can be used at a higher rate in special cases, say if you are making a Session IPA, and are trying to simulate a higher gravity beer. Because of its extremely light color and neutral flavor it won't have much affect on the final color or flavor of your beer. Carapils belongs to a category of malts labeled as Dextrine, sometimes Dextrin, malts. We mention this because you might see either of these names in your recipe. You can steep Carapils in an extract batch but will only get about 20% utilization, or 20% of the goodies of this malt dissolved into your beer. While not as complex as Carapils malt, for extract brewing some brewers prefer to use dextrin powder.

    Maltodextrin

    7 reviews

Good for adding mouth feel and body to extract brews without affecting flavor. Maltodextrin is added to the wort at the same time as the extracts. Maltodextrin is a chain between 4 and 20 dextrose units in length making it only 3% fermentable by brewer's yeast. It is naturally present in finished beers, up to 6% by weight. It is often also referred to as Dextrin Powder and sometimes Dextrine Powder.   Our maltodextrin is composed of .5% dextrose, 2.5% Maltose, 3.5% maltoriose, 93.5% higher saccaharides, and is made from corn. It is also available by the pound or even the sack. Since maltodextrins are easily digestible carbohydrates, some long range cyclists and work out enthusiasts mix maltodextrin with water as an energy source.

  • Wine Kit - VineCo - Estate Series - Pinot Noir, Chile Wine Kit - VineCo - Estate Series - Pinot Noir, Chile

Chilean Pinot Noir Wine Making Kit - VineCo Estate Series™

    1 review

If wines were personified by movie characters, Pinot Noir would be your Mrs. Robinson—mature and seductive. No wine evokes more sultry descriptions as Pinot Noir, often characterized as having a supple, silky texture and arousing earthy aroma. Sensual summarizations aside, Pinot Noir is considered one of the “founder varieties”. Its exact origins are unknown, but modern genetic study has revealed Pinot to be the parent of countless grape varieties including Chardonnay and Corvina, as well as hundreds of mutations of itself, including Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc. Flavors and aromas are overwhelmingly fruit-forward—raspberry, plum, rhubarb, pomegranate, and strawberry—with subtle notes of earth and damp leaves. Burgundy, France enjoys the highest acclaim for its Pinot Noir, but this grape is no less renowned in Oregon and California in the U.S. and New Zealand in the southern hemisphere. Of all the wines produced in Chile, Pinot Noir is perhaps the most celebrated within and without the country. The temperate climate and rich soil produce grapes that are more acidic and remarkably fresh, in turn making wine known for fruity notes, high acidity, and delicate tannins. Our Chile Pinot Noir is dominated by red fruit flavors of strawberry and raspberry and underpinned by a slight vegetal character. A dry red wine with a medium body matched by a medium oak character with an alcohol content of 13% by volume. The Estate Pinot includes a single dose of blended origin, medium toast oak chips. Pinots are known for being complex with subtle oak. This blend adds mouthfeel and very subdued hints of spice. The VineCo Estate Pinot Noir demands that it be sipped and savored. Do not drink it down like you might a common table wine. Approach with a subtle assuredness like you might if an attractive stranger caught your eye from across the room. Enjoy the deep, captivating flavors as if you’re getting to know this wine for the first time. For a dance at the dinner table, pair off with something that has a touch of spice like Kerala duck curry or Char siu pork. EVABarrier Double Wall Draft Tubing - 4 mm ID x 8 mm OD

    3 reviews

EVABarrier double wall tubing is an excellent choice for all draft dispensing applications. The inner barrier is an excellent gas barrier, keeping oxygen out and CO2 in. The inner wall is also extremely smooth to prevent bacteria and other microbes from attaching to the inside surface. The outer barrier gives the tubing a decent stiffness while still remaining pliable. This makes EVA Barrier remarkably kink resistant and the perfect choice for use with Duotight, John Guest, and other push-in fittings. The 4 mm (5/32") ID size is perfect for home draft applications where only a short beverage line is needed. We recommend using 5-6 ft. per line for adequate flow resistance. This tubing works seamlessly with Duotight Gas In and Bev Out Ball Lock QDs which allow you to connect your draft lines directly to your ball lock homebrew keg. Be sure to select the correct size QD fittings that correspond to your tubing's outer diameter (OD). Specifications: Inner Diameter - 4 mm (5/32") Outer Diameter - 8 mm (5/16") PVC, BPA , and Plasticizer Free* Stiff outer wall is kink resistant and easy to use with Duotight fittings Smooth inner wall prevents oxidation, CO2 loss and microbial growth build-up *EVABarrier does not contain plasticizers, or phthalates, that are used to make PVC flexible.
