EVABarrier double wall tubing is an excellent choice for all draft dispensing applications. The inner barrier is an excellent gas barrier, keeping oxygen out and CO2 in. The inner wall is also extremely smooth to prevent bacteria and other microbes from attaching to the inside surface. The outer barrier gives the tubing a decent stiffness while still remaining pliable. This makes EVA Barrier remarkably kink resistant and the perfect choice for use with Duotight, John Guest, and other push-in fittings. 40cm x 40cm filter pads made for 40x40 plate filters. Pads rated 0.45 micron remove 99.999% of bacteria. This pad is the right choice when you want to promote sterility in the bottle, although do please note that the pad does not remove 100% of bacteria - only a cartridge filter can do so. The filters can be sterilized by in-line steam, auto-claving, dry heat, hot water or chemical methods. We choose to run Saniclean (CL27) solution through the pads followed by sterile water or a small amount of wine that is then discarded. After the solution is run through the pads, and the pads have softened, the filter will need to be re-tightened. Each pad has an entry side and an exit side, distinguishable by their different textures. The entry side is a billowy type texture, frequently called the "rough" side; and the exit side has a crosshatch pattern and is commonly called the "smooth" side. Pads rated 0.5 micron remove 99.999% of bacteria. This pad is the right choice when you want to promote sterility in the bottle, although do please note that the pad does not remove 100% of bacteria - only a cartridge filter can do so. The filters can be sterilized by in-line steam, auto-claving, dry heat, hot water or chemical methods. We choose to run Saniclean solution through the pads followed by sterile water or a small amount of wine that is then discarded. After the solution is run through the pads, and the pads have softened, the filter will need to be re-tightened. Each pad has an entry side and an exit side, distinguishable by their different textures. The entry side is a billowy type texture, frequently called the "rough" side; and the exit side has a crosshatch pattern and is commonly called the "smooth" side. This carboy thermowell is used in conjunction with a Digital Controller to more accurately regulate internal temperature during fermentation. It is exceptionally useful during the start of fermentation when the lag between ambient temperature in the refrigerator and actual temperature in the carboy can vary greatly. Now you can keep your beer or wine within one degree of the set point on your digital controller. Designed to fit either 3, 5, 6, or 6.5 gallon glass carboys or any other similarly sized opening hole. The unit comes with a 15" stainless steel thermowell and a #6.5 stopper. The stopper has two holes measuring 3/8" and 1/4". Measures 14" from the bottom of the stopper to the end of the thermowell. Will not work with Johnson Temperature Controllers (FE600 or FE609) because the probes are too large.
